The Flavor of Love: Charm School Reunion Show

An Explosive Reunion
Lala, the reunion show host described the Flavor of Love Charm School appropriately when she said it was a reality show about turning these female brawlers/ballers into sophisticated young women. With Monique as the principal of the school, these women were given an opportunity to learn and grow. What we saw over those 9 episodes however, showed that not all were so good at receiving and learning the lessons Monique had to deliver.
This reality-show junkie was actually sad to see this show come to an end as it was rather fascinating to watch this transformation of girls into women. Over the course of several weeks, Flavor of Love fans were treated to the opportunity of watching these women who had allowed Flavor Flav to grope them and treat them like pieces of meat, grow. -Well, some of them blossomed while others merely grew into flowering weeds.
The Reunion episode was nothing short of an explosion. It reinforced why its not always a good idea to put too many women in one space. Monique deserves much love for her efforts to maintain some semblance of control on this show. As the show got underway, old habits seemed to die hard as "Crystal," one of the earlier expelled students attempted to pepper the manic-attired "Schatar" with foul language and harsh words. It was refreshing to have someone set the tone for how the show should progress from there on out.
We learned that "Courtney," who had been given a wonderful opportunity by Monique to join her on tour, had indeed begun pursuing her comedienne dream. It seemed however that along the way, she had made the mistake of telling a joke about Monique that backfired and apparently had brought her bad press in her initial performances. Monique was gracious as she described the bad humor and poor judgment on performing the joke as the "Growing Pains" of a beginning comedienne.
There were other updates in the show and it became painfully obvious which girls just didn't get the message. When Monique questioned "Brooke" about how she would explain her previously described "slutacious" & "whore-like" behaviors demonstrated on the "Prom Episode" to her children and grandchildren, "Brooke" said she would tell them that her behaviors were those of a blond-haired, blue-eyed flirtatious woman. Wow! I didn't realize that was what flirting was about -whew!
Finally, viewers were given the opportunity they had been awaiting which was the reunion of Shay and Larissa. Throughout the show, these two had been billed as friends who stuck together though good times and bad -at least until the famed picture incident severed their friendly ties. This viewer still believes that Shay was right for standing up and confessing to what she and her friend had been up to all along. Thumbs down to the "mouthy" one that was Larissa throughout the show and yes, God help us, even on the reunion episode. It was so disappointing to see Larissa's mother not recognize that this girl is out of control. Monique took the high road, apologizing to Larissa's mother for the gesture that she described as "rolling up on a young woman," when she dared to approach Larissa in the manner that was more of an action to get this girl to listen to what it was she had to say. Monique demonstrated how mature she was in that she did not fall prey to what might have been an ugly scene between a mother attempting to ‘protect and defend' her own and another woman trying to put a little common sense into a brain not yet ready to receive.
After watching the reunion show, it remains rather obvious the winners indeed deserved their titles. Congratulations to Leilene and Saaphyri who both showed a modicum of decency during the reunion and the most growth for the season.

i think that shay is right for what she did and that larissas mother is a @#$*^*^% *& and should see that her daughter is out of damn control1 i love leilene and saaphyri.+becky!
I enjoyed the reunion show. Monique should be commended for trying to put these ladies on the right track. However, Monique did look a little threatening when she stood over the little girl with the HUGE mouth.
Knowing the type of WOMAN Monique is, she did the right thing by not kicking Larissa and her mothers tail. I really believe that if Larissa was really into something she would do more talking than fighting, cause I do not believe that she's game enough. She is the type to take a knife to a gun fight. She needs to get ine good swift kick in the ass an dthat will be all it takes.
Larissa is so angry but if i had grown up with that fat carrot headed, who should have taugh her how to act , then someone should have taught her mother how to act. but monique told larissa they could fight but when they are through monique told her she would stand her up and hug her. monique was telling her after she knock her ass down she would pick her up.slick way of saying it mo i know you could take her but you have to mush class to slap there getto, poor, asses.
first i think that yes the best girl won and i am happy because she deserved it and worked it off. i really do hope that she put her ties in church on that one though because GOD really did bless her. if she didnt well all your money is probably gone now. as for the rest of the hood rats yall need more than charm school, its more like tameing. holla!!!
after watching the show I understand now why Larrissa is the way she is..I thought that her mother was going on stage to try to talk some since into her daughter yet she take her project fat ass up there and attack Mo..Someone should let that Ghetto Bitch know she did get her 5 minutes of fame and now she and her daughter need to crawl back to the gutter from which they came
I THOUGHT Charm School would be an opportunity for all to grow, but I wonder why different tacticts were NOT used for Larissa. This angry, confrontational woman COULD NOT grow from MORE confrontation. I think model behavior issued with KINDNESS would have been the best method. She then would have an opportunity to say to herself, "the world is NOT against me; somebody cares" and therefore would have grown OUT of the anger. I realize that Monique has many fans concerning this show, and I commend her for what she is ATTEMPTING to do, but also firmly believe that Monique needs a lot of FINISHING herself.
BIG UPS TO MONIQUE AND SHAY! THEY MADE ME REALLY PROUD TO BE A BLACK WOMEN. LARISSA FAKE ASS IS "TRYING TO BE A NEW YORK" BUT HONEY NEW YORK IS A TRIP BUT INSIDE SHE GOT A HEART, LARRISA BKA BOOTS IS A BETTER NAME FOR HER DONT EVEN FIT THE BILL. SHE NEED A REAL FACE LIFT AND THEM TITTIES OVERLARGED SO IT CAN TAKE OFF THE FOCUS OF HER UGLY ASS FACE, THE MORE YOU SEEN BOOTS ON TV THE UGLIER SHE LOOKED! CHECK IT OUT NEXT TIME FROM WHEN YOU FIRST SAW HER AND HOW SHE LOOK NOW. A HOT MESS. AINT GOT A LICK OF SENSE BUT HE TRUTH IS SHE GET IT FROM HER MAMA AND BY THE WAY THAT ACT YALL TRIED TO PUT ON THE SHOW WILL NOT GET YOU YOUR OWN I GOT TIRED OF SEEING YOU THEN , YOU WILL NEVER BE NEW YORK HONEY SO STOP HATING!!!!!GO ON BLIND DATE WHERE THE MEN ARE REALLY BLIND MAYBE YOU CAN GET SOMEWHERE THEN AND OLE YEAH PLEASE BE MUTE BECAUSE SOON AS YOU OPEN THAT BIG MOUTH THE MAN WILL JUST WALK AWAY.GET A LIFE LITTLE GIRL AND YOU MAMMA TOO!!!
I knew from the beginning that that young lady was trouble and as the show continued she got NO better. I could not stand her and was soooooooo happy when she got expelled. But after seeing her mother on the show, now tell me is that her birth mother? There is clearly no resemblance @ all. That woman woman was terrible and I truly see where the daughter got it from. I have to give Mo prompts for showing great restraint, I probably would have lost it and went upside the mother's head. I think the mother and daughter needs some serious psychiactric help, they both have anger management problems and seem to just hate life and definitely they don't like themselves much. Charm school as you see did nothing for the daughter.
Congratulations ! Shafari and Leileen, you two were most deserving and I think you both will do GREAT things !
i loved the show for all haters larissa is not going out like a sucka there is no way i would let somebody judge me and try to run up in my face either i wouldn't care if it was a celebrity or not you wouldn't let a person talk to you any kind of way either
I MISSED THE REUNION CAUSE i RECENTLY HAD A BABY. HOWEVER, I FOLLOWED THE SHOW RELIGIOUSLY AND I LOVE MONIQUE'S STYLE AND CLASSY PERSONALITY. SHE DID HER UTMOST BEST AND TREATED EACH GIRL WITH RESPECT. UNFORTUNATELY NOT ALL OF THEM RESPECTED THEMSELVES. CONGRATS TO WINNERS SAAPHYRI AND LEILENE. TO BECKY AND SHAY AND THE GIRLS WHO GAINED ALL THE GREAT KNOWLEDGE, POWER TO YOU. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO LEFT WITH NOTHING REMEMBER LIFE'S WHAT YOU MAKE IT.
BECKY IS THE BEST!
MoNique is rough around the edges, but that is part of her charm. As an African American educator, I would love to mentor Larissa. She is just the type of angry woman that has the power to change the world. If she continues with her misguided ways, she also has the power to destroy her world and the world of her family and friends. I have encountered a Larissa every year of my teaching career. The troubled student that the teacher loves and cares for the most is always the one who resents, rebels, and disrespects the efforts of the teacher. The job of teacher is to keep trying to reach the troubled student. I hope MoNique and/or VH1 continue to reach out to Larissa.
larissa, shay, becky, andsaaphari are my peps and who eva got a problem with that then they betta come see me. I think that wat monique said 2 larissa was write even though i like larissa.
THAT SHOW WAS THE SHIT I LIKE IT ALOT BUT I THINK MONIQUE SHOULD'VE BEEN WOOPING THEIR ASS FOR ACTING UP
