As a marketer, how can you promote your goods and services via email and yet not only remain within the confines of the law, but better yet, make friends, not enemies?

The answer lies in your ability to use permission marketing on a grand scale, and yet never lose the personal touch that is so crucial to your marketing efforts. To do this, you may just have to rely on someone else to create the list for you, then renting access to the list, on a permission basis. There are a few lists available online that offer access to millions of email addresses. The trick is to tread carefully when you are looking for one to use. If you can find one however, with a good reputation, then this is the best route to take. By doing this, you will avoid the huge expense of creating a large list for yourself, but still gain the ability to immediately use the list for profit without spamming.

The best thing you can do however, is to create your own list from these huge list of people. To do this, you need to make your rental of the list count. In other words, if you were to spend money emailing these people, why not also get them on your own list so that you can develop your own relationship with these people over time?

Little Things Matter When It Comes To Making Money Online

Now that you understand how and why to create a list, you should look at a few ideas that you can use today, to turn your list into money in your pocket. You understand for sure that you have to extend yourself, make some waves, or put another way, make something happen, even it appears insignificant.

I am usually pleasantly surprised when some of my nondescript efforts actually turn into better SE rankings or even into sales. If I am ever feeling that this whole Internet Marketing thing is hogwash, I just have to do some social marketing, write an article, or do some SEO work on one of my websites, and the result is usually very positive, and happens quickly too.

Take my recent article at ezinearticles on money making business ideas. In checking for how well it was ranked, I discovered that my article was on page 6 of Google, while another directory had the same article on page 10. I went into Ezineartlces, spruced up the article a bit, and republished it. This took about 3 days for it to be back on the Internet. When it came back, it was on page one of Google for the same keywords. Just Like that!

Let me explain what action I took that had such quick and positive result. I have discovered that if you have a popular article published online, there are things you can do to promote that article and thereby promote the website that that article is promoting. It's like boosting the messenger who is carrying your message, to boost the credibility of the message itself.

I am sure you can understand that. If you had a lot of flyers to hand out on a busy intersection, you would not give them to a panhandler, would you? It is the same thing. Having a well-read article at a credible article directory is like gold. Why not promote it, thereby promoting your actual message indirectly. By searching out your articles or other links online, you can begin to send links to them, or promote them in other ways to boost your links. I think you get the idea.
