Conquer the heavens with 5102 Celestial

If you feel sky is the limit, then Patek Philippe 5102 Celestial is just the thing for you. Featuring the anticlockwise rotation of the night sky of the Northern Hemisphere on its dial, this model from the Patek Philippe Celestial Collection is more than just a watch. The dial depicts a built in display of meridian passage, and phases of the moon as well as the angular progression of the stars relative to the meridian passage of Sirius. The hour and minute hands revolve around a dial with Roman Numerals showing the mean solar time.

Patek Philippe's astronomical wrist watches from the house of Ancienne Manufacture d'Horlogerie Patek Philippe & Cie, S.A, are works of art teamed with mechanical perfection. Established by two Polish immigrants, Antoine Norbert de Patek (Salesman) and François Czapek (Watchmaker) in 1839, this brand has created a name for itself, with its exceptional quality and craftsmanship. Each model of Patek Philippe is the outcome of three to five years of research by the R&D department constituted of master craftsmen, qualified engineers, technicians, and draftsmen. Calibre 89, one of the most complicated portable timepieces from Patek Philippe, is the result of more than nine years of research.

The 301 individual parts have been meticulously finished by hand. Every single tooth of each and every gear wheel is manually polished with beech wood disc, and the edges of all the steel components are beveled and polished manually for perfection. This imparts the high level of precision and longevity, which are the trademarks of Patek Philippe watches. For this reason, the movement is only 6.26 millimeters high, despite its complexity. The case, too, is remarkably slim. This exquisite self-winding model crafted from 22kt gold, draws its power from a mini rotor recessed off-centre, which derives the necessary winding energy from the slightest movements of the wrist.

Made of 22kt gold and embedded with 45 jewels, this self winding watch has a diameter of 43.10 mm with a dial diameter of 38mm, and a thickness of 6.26mm.This model which comes with strap widths (Case x Buckle) of 20 x 18 mm and vibrations per hour of 21600 bears the Geneva Seal Hallmark .It has a powere reserve of 48 hours and is water resistant upto 25m.This model is available in two versions, one in white gold (Patek Philippe 5102 G) and the other in yellow gold (Patek Philippe 5102 J).
