"Wempe" 5125 - truly a class apart

Patek Philippe "Wempe" 5125, a series of limited edition watches released to commemorate the125th anniversary of Wempe, is a perfect blend of latest technology and traditional know how. This rare model casted in 18kt gold with polished finish, comes with an exquisite, black hand sewn alligator strap, fitted with gold deployant clasp.The silver matte dial with the "Wempe" signature engraved subtly under the moon phase window, the rose gold baton markers, and the gold Dauphine hands, sets it apart from the rest of its genre. Available in four designs of yellow gold, rose gold, pink gold and platinum, these timeless timepieces are really a class apart.

From the house of Ancienne Manufacture d'Horlogerie Patek Philippe & Cie, S.A, the Patek Philippe watches are crafted by highly skilled craftsmen. Established by two Polish immigrants, Antoine Norbert de Patek (Salesman) and François Czapek (Watchmaker) in 1839, this brand is renowned for its outstanding quality and craftsmanship. Each tooth of every steel pinion and wheel are burnished with a hardwood disc, and all the sharp edges chamfered to attain the legendary perfection, that is the hallmark of Patek Philippe. Automatic self winding movement with triple date, moon phase, and a dial that indicates an annual calendar as well as day and night, are some of the features that puts this under the category of complicated watches. It has a German month & date indication and center seconds hand. Cut-outs in the face display the date, month and days of the week. This model has 37 x 11 mm (excl. lugs & crown).

Another feature of the Wempe 5125 is the hour hand rotating over the phases of the moon display, a feature which has always commanded top prices at auctions. It has an original fitted box with white gold case back, commemorative sterling silver coin and setting stylus. The edition which is limited to 125 each in yellow gold rose gold and white gold has100 models in platinum too. All these models come with two screw-on case backs, one of which is made of solid precious metal, and the other of sapphire crystal. It is water resistant upto 25 meters.
