I hate movies with bad endings! I can't stand them. Unfortunately, some movies end real bad usually for three reasons. The most common is when directors are going to make a sequel, they like to leave the ending open to start up in the next movie. The second reason is because they want to end it happy when it really shouldn't end happy. And the third one is just bummer endings, like it should have ended one way and they went in a different direction and it ended awful! Besides the usual worst endings like Lord of the Rings or Star Wars Episode VI here is a list of the absolute worst endings!

Sliding Doors was such a sad yet bad ending but at the same time it turns out okay. The movie is about a woman, Gwyneth Paltrow, and another Gwyneth Paltrow, but the second one is leading a different life. It is telling us what would have happened in her life if she makes the subway or she doesn't make the subway. And let me tell you, everything happens differently. In the life where she makes the subway, She walks in on her boyfriend cheating. In the other life, she misses the subway and she has to walk home so she doesn't catch her boyfriend cheating with another woman. The first life she ends up meeting a man, John Hannah, and falls in love with him and becomes truly happy. But in the second life, she stays with the vindictive boyfriend that makes her unhappy. At the end Gwyneth gets into a serious accident in both lives. And of course she dies in the one that we want her to live in! She lives in the other life where she is unhappy and doesn't have a caring boyfriend instead. But it does end with John Hannah meeting Gwyneth Paltrow in the elevator of the hospital hinting that they get together. But I wanted them to be together already!

Second on the list is I am Legend. You have this brave scientist, Will Smith, who risks his life to find a cure for the dark seekers. The dark seekers were all over the world because some other scientist thought they found a cure for cancer but everything went wrong and they ended up with dark seekers. He was all alone but then he finally meets this girl Anna and this little boy Ethan who have come to try and get him to come to the safe place. He doesn't want to leave his home town no matter what and still believes that he is gonna find a cure. Well one night when the dark seekers find where he is living (all Anna's fault) and start to attack him he realizes that he did find the cure! It was working on a dark seeker that he kidnapped in the day light. The dark seekers were attacking and were not going to leave until Will Smith was dead. He knew they weren't going to leave so he gave the cure to Anna and sacrificed himself for them and to make sure the cure got to the safe place so they could save all those people. What the heck?! He dies? The whole movie was about his survival. But he did what he wanted to do. He found the cure plus he had no one else, his whole family had died. But not only does he die but Anna gets partial credit for the cure. Even though she practically killed Will Smith by leading the dark seekers to his house. He should get full credit and he definitely should have lived!

War Of The Worlds made me so mad because it was a decent movie and it was going fine... until the end of course. It ends with everything okay. I didn't want a happy ending in this movie. Tom Cruise thinks that his son is dead because it looked like he blew up! And that is what should have happened to him. But no, he is all happy and drinking tea in Boston with the rest of the family. I mean seriously? The rest of the world is getting blown to smithereens but the aliens like Boston for some reason, so they don't hurt Boston. How come the main character and his whole family almost never get killed? That just doesn't seem fair. Well not only that but the aliens, how do they die? They catch this virus or something and die in a matter of six seconds with no help from the army. I think the aliens were a little stronger than just to catch a cold and turn into ash. Why didn't the government bring out a secret weapon that no one knows about and blow them up! That would have been better. I should be a director.

Premonition made me sad. A husband and wife had some marital problems but still loved each other very much and then the husband dies! Sandra Bullock, the wife, thinks she is going insane when she keeps reliving her husbands death. She is broken down during the whole movie and keeps trying to prevent his death but nobody believes her. He gets killed going to a interview for a job in a different state but he wasn't going alone to the interview. He was going to meet up with a woman he is having an affair with. But on his way to the interview he realizes he doesn't want to cheat on his wife but all he wants is his wife. Sandra Bullock in the mean time is chasing after him in her car trying to catch up to him to beg him not to go on the trip. They are each trying to call each other and finally get to talking on the phone. He pulls over the car where he is supposed to die, Sandra anxiously tells him to turn around to save his life. But his car stops in the middle of the road when turning around and a big truck smashes into him which leads to his death! After all the problems they had and they finally realize they love each other very much and he still has to die at the end. Wasn't her being able to skip back and forth around the week and predicting his death meant to prevent his death from happening? Instead she actually caused his death in an attempt to save it! Not cool.

And the award goes to Pirates Of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. This was the most disappointing ending yet it was unexpected. This movie ends with Captain Jack Sparrow, the best character in the entire movie, in the belly of a kraken. I mean that is not supposed to happen. He is Captain Jack Sparrow! If it wasn't for Elizabeth Swan, Kiera Knightly, who chained him to the ship that the kraken took down, he would still be alive. That is the worst ending ever and once again the director left it open for a sequel because they said everyone who let him die was going to go save him from Davy Jones Locker. Leading it into the third. Although I was happy there was going to be a third one, I didn't want Captain Jack Sparrow dead. They are lucky they put that they were going to go save him at the end because if they were trying to kill off his character, I would not have watched the third one at all.

Well those are just some of the bad endings of movies. Obviously there are more but these ones are extra bad. I actually still like all these movies! They are good right up till the end.
