Jesus DEMANDS all Christians support the “PUBLIC OPTION”

 

This is the first time in my lifetime America has the chance to provide health insurance to all Americans.  It is a crime against everything Jesus Christ teaches that America, the richest country in the world, doesn’t provide all citizens with healthcare.  America is the only western democracy out of 38 without universal healthcare.

If you are a Christian and you have health insurance you MUST contact your elected representatives and DEMAND they support the “public option” now being considered in the US Congress.

Jesus demands the following from ALL Christians:

 Matthew 22:39 

 

39"The second is like it, YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' 

If you love yourself enough to have health insurance you must demand it for your neighbors or you are not obeying the instructions of your personal savior.  Those telling you otherwise are lying to you.

Galatians 5:14 “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”

49 million of your neighbors have no health insurance and this is a chance to make that right.  Over 60 Americans die each day because they can’t get medical treatment for curable illness; that is over 22,000 per year.  This is Un-Christian in a country that claims to be Christian. 

Matthew 7:12 

GOLDEN RULE -

12 “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.”

If you want your child to get medical treatment when they are sick you must support this for all others.  It is very clear how Jesus would vote on the “public option” he would vote YES.

John 14:15 “If ye love me keep my commandments.”

Millions of so called American Christians are doing nothing to help their neighbors and that is against what Jesus demands. 

Matthew 18:3 

 3 and said, "Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.”

Every single child would help another child in trouble, yet millions of Christian Hypocrites have come out against helping the 40 million Americans in trouble because they have no health insurance.

Many of these Christian Hypocrites are in the US Congress and they are the same ones who voted to give 400 Americans billionaires tens of millions in tax cuts. 

Some are Senators. McConnell, McCain, DeMint, Graham, if fact all the Republicans are for the tax cuts for Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and the other 400 billionaires and against healthcare for the 8 million uninsured American children.

The rich Americans need to come out and support the “Public Option”

James 5:1-6 Warning to Rich Oppressors

 1”Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming upon you.

2 Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes.

3 Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days.

4 Look! The wages you failed to pay the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty.

5 You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter.

6 You have condemned and murdered innocent men, who were not opposing you.”

The rich have remained silent and this too is a sin against God.  These are people who should be fighting to help the less fortunate – the 40 million Americans without healthcare.

Where are your voices, the rich who claim to believe in Jesus Christ?  Please come out for the public option Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Paul Allen, Helen Walton, John Walton, Robson Walton, Jim Walton, Alice Walton, Mike Dell and the others on the Fortune 400 richest Americans.  You got your huge tax cuts, now it’s time for you to demand help for those without healthcare.   

It is worth noting that all the Walton’s on the list got their billions the old fashioned way – they inherited it.  They didn’t work a day to become rich you would think they would want to help those less fortunate.

Where are your deeds you rich and greedy people?  How will you explain your silence to Jesus when you meet him on judgment day?

James 2:14-23 (Faith and Deeds)

 

 14”What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?

15 Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.

16 If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?

17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

 18 But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds."
      Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.

 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.”

Those who know these rich people please ask them to publically support the “Public Option.”
