Things You Find On The Internet (Including Chad Vader)

I have always loved found things. As a child, I was somewhat introspective; lost in my own little world. I also walked everywhere. From age 5. Can you imagine that? No one is this day and age would allow a five-year-old child to walk everywhere alone. One time I missed the bus and got on the wrong bus and ended up almost being kidnapped by a lonely elderly couple until my older brother found me. But that's another hub.

Anyway, sometimes in my walks, I would find things like bottle caps, pennies (I always found a penny every single time I went somewhere. I think because people just throw them away.), popsicle sticks, old comic books...When I began using the Internet, I discovered a site that has since been taken down about found art. Found art was basically photographs of things people found as they were walking down the street. Sometimes it would be a poem. Other times a 10-dollar bill with swastikas scrawled all over it. Or whole journals filled with cartoons and scattered poems. Or a note from some guy's landlord threatening eviction, with lipstick kisses on it.

Of course, I thought that was fascinating. So I was sorry to see the site disappear, as it was an interesting window into the collective mind of human beings - What we view as meaningless or of no value. Or maybe they had no meaning at all, and we, the viewers, were just filling in the blanks with our own experience. Maybe the thing was precious to them but they, in a distracted moment, let it fall from their grasp, losing it forever.

This is why, in my virtual travels, I save things that I stumble upon that are different - I like different. I like unusual. Not bizarre. Just unique.

It could be an image, or a song, or a video clip. Here are two unusual and funny video clips that are favorites:

Chad Vader Sings Chocolate Rain

Chad Vader highlights the adventures of Darth Vader's younger brother, Chad, who is the day shift manager at the Empire Market.

And who hasn't felt like this at some point in their life?:

(Poor little guy...)

Muffins, anyone?

(haha..."IMAGINARY muffin....") This woman needs to get out more.

Since images consume so much memory on my computer, I only keep images that I find that I just know I want to see again, or would feel bad if they were lost.

This is one of them:

Once again, I found art all on my own, walking through my property after a bad storm. It seems that, during the night, a newspaper had landed on the rocks outside. It rained for two days straight after that, then the sun came out and the storms were driven South by a cooler Arctic jet stream from the North. I had noticed that paper lying there, so I picked it up to throw it away and was surprised and delighted to see this image on the rocks! Rain had soaked through the newspaper and caused the ink to bleed onto the surface below, leaving that amazing impression in its wake. I'm glad I snapped a picture of it.

Are you ever gonna run out of good ideas, cosette? Geez, Louise, this was hilarious and inspiring. Your personality is so dynamic, I don't even think that a word exists to describe you yet (I'm working on one!) This too made me laugh:

One time I missed the bus and got on the wrong bus and ended up almost being kidnapped by a lonely elderly couple until my older brother found me. But that's another hub.

You're amazing, you know that? LMAO
