Things to Consider Before Proposing

>Marriage is a very serious step to make and should not be taken lightly in the least be, as many people's lives and emotions can and will be effected by it (friends, family, children, etc.) - not to mention planning, saving up money for, and just the whole thing of trying to work your way up to the big day is a lot of work ! So, this is not something that you would want to mess up.

Before you get engaged to anyone, make sure that this is what you both want. Look deep inside yourself and your relationship adn ask:

  1. Does the other person love you and want to get married ?
  2. Do you two communicate with each other good ?

Even though many people do not understand the significance of this and it may seem difficult sometimes, communication is key to a good relationship. It's how you relay your feelings to each other, your beliefs, requirements, where you stand on having children and how to bring up and raise any kids that you decide to have, what you are looking for in a long term spouse, are you two having serious problems or issues that you can't seem to get past ?

All of these elements can be crucial to whether two people will end up staying together. Think deeply and hard and take as much time as you need to - do not let anyone or anything pressure you into marriage or engagement. If you can truly look into the other person's eyes and you both have a deep, mutual love for each other - then there's almost no reason why you should not consider taking a chance.
