Think Things Through Before You Make Hasty Decisions

Writing is never easy no matter how simple it may seem. In fact, it can be a real pain in the neck. It isn't surprising why most writers, especially in the day of Hemingway and Poe, are driven to drink.
I don't know how I do it day in and day out without drinking myself into a coma, but I do what I have to. I guess it takes a strong heart to turn myself away from temptation. Besides, I wouldn't be able to afford it anyway.
It just seems that I'm always having a problem with the software I've been using to write my ebook or my computer is acting like it has a mind of its own. It can be very frustrating and sometimes I wonder if it makes sense to continue writing at all. I decided writing wasn't for me and thought I had better quit before I made a complete fool of myself. So when I hadn't written anything for two straights days, I got so depressed that I actually took a swig off the old Jack Daniel's bottle to make myself feel betterĀ but I ended up getting into trouble instead. Not surprising for me, I tell you. Trouble is my middle name and I don't even leave the house that often. Figure that one out. God only knows I've tried.
After careful consideration, I realized I couldn't stop writing because writing is who I am. It is what I do and nothing in the world can change that. It runs in my blood.
The point is, I didn't give up. I fixed my computer without prior knowledge of what of what I was doing and presto, I'm back in business. I took care of the situation and got myself back on track.
See, the message here is this: Don't do anything you might regret later on until you have had the chance to think things through. You just might realize the answer was right there in front of you all along.
