So you are considering joining ACN and thought you would do a little research about the opportunity and it's products? Well first of all, you are doing a very smart thing by taking a little extra time to do your own homework about the ACN opportunity, so I congratulate you on your wise decision.

Ok, first things first - do you have any preconceived ideas or bad feelings towards the direct selling, mlm or networking industry? If you do, you need to toss those out the window right now, regardless of past experiences or friends and family that may have a less than optimistic view of the industry! You see, most folks who have a poor view of the networking industry are simply miss informed, have not done their homework or are just plain wrong. There are also those, perhaps yourself included that have had an experience with an mlm such as ACN by way of dealing with an unscrupulous distributor, or becoming an independent representative themselves only to find out that is was going to be harder than they thought, were never given the tools to become successful and thus they quit, leaving a "bad taste in their mouth".

What you should know, is that the networking or direct sells industry is in fact one of the best, if not the best ways for the average entrepreneur to start their own business, earn a meaningful residual income and create true freedom in their lives! From a business model standpoint, networking is genius, so why do so many people fail? We'll get to that a little later, for now lets get into a brief overview of the ACN opportunity.

The ACN opportunity consist of the chance to become an independent business owner by offering the companies line of products and services to consumers (we're all consumers) who are already using these services on a regular basis. So far so good, the most profitable companies are in fact the ones who offer what is known as a "consumable products" or products that people buy, use and then have to buy again. While the companies products are a bit of a twist on this philosophy, most of us would agree that we do in fact buy telecommunication services on a monthly basis.

ACN reps are given two start-up choices ranging from $99 to $499. A very brief overview of the companies compensation plan is as follows:

Getting Qualified
In order to qualify for their levels, all ACN representatives MUST acquire customers. To qualify for their level and be eligible to receive Customer Acquisition Bonuses, Team Trainers must acquire and maintain at least 6 "connected" long distance customers or 8 customers using any ACN service.

As representatives begin to advance through ACN’s earned levels, additional qualifications must be met.To qualify for the first earned level – Executive Team Trainer – you must be a Team Trainer with a minimum of 20 personal billing customers and also have directly sponsored and qualified 3 Team Trainers by helping each of them acquire 6 "connected" long distance customers or 8 customers using any ACN service within the required time. You should set a goal to reach ETT within your first 4 weeks.

To earn the level of Team Coordinator, you must have 3 separately sponsored organizations, or "legs," and each must contain at least 200customers. So, for example, if you sponsored one person directly and they acquired 200 customers all by themselves that leg would count. If you sponsored another person and they had recruited 9 people within their organization, now there are 10 of them all together. If each of them had acquired 20 customers, that’s 10x20. That also equals 200. As long as you have a total of 200 customers anywhere in 3 separate legs, you will have achieved the level of Team Coordinator. Set a goal to achieve this level within your first 3-6 months.

To reach ACN’s highest level – Regional Vice President – you must have at least one person achieve the level of Team Coordinator anywhere in each of 5 separate legs of your organization. Earning this level can be achieved in 1-2 years.

ACN representatives can earn money in two ways – through monthly residual income based on their customers’ usage of our services – and through weekly Customer Acquisition Bonuses, which are earned by helping newly sponsored Team Trainers acquire their 6 "connected" long distance customers or 8customers using any ACN service within the required time. As you begin to acquire personal customers, you can qualify to earn between 2% and 8% of their monthly bills – and earn it month after month, year after year for as long as they continue to use ACN’s services. How much you earn is based on the total amount of billings of all of your personal long distance and Internet customers combined. As your business grows and your total monthly billing volume increases, you earn more.

When all of your customers combined total $12,500 or more in monthly billings, you reach the 8% level. Whenever you reach a new level, ACN pays you the increase on your entire personal customer base.

The companies compensation plan also provides for a few other long-term incentives not discussed here and of course you are encouraged to do additional research to become knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the compensation associated with the company's business model.

And finally, last but certainly not least, why do so many people fail in the network marketing industry? The answer is actually more simple than you can imagine - lack of contacts or potential prospects! You see, if a person building any network marketing or direct sales company from home runs out of people to share their product, service and opportunity with - they curl up and wither away, destined to become another casualty of the networking industry! All the hopes and dreams that they once had about building a business of their own, becoming financially independent and finally living the life they desire, just shrivel away and they quit, thinking that it was just a "bad business" or that "it just wasn't for them".

So whats the cure? You need to seek out and learn from those who actually know the "secret" to building a list that never ends! Because if you can do this, you'll never go out of business. Just think about how successful you could become if instead of going through all your friends and family and finding out that most of them just don't see what you see and then folding up shop, you learn how to generate as many leads as you'll ever need to become successful and build that business of your dreams!
