Thirty Day Challenge as a Virtual Internet Marketing Knowledge Bank
75I felt a strong early morning urge to write this hub
I watched live TV presentation of Ed Dale from Australia last night. It started at 1am London time. It was official announcement of the Thirty Day Challenge, which pre-season is going to start on 1. June. I was so very excited, that when the 'show' finally finished at about 2.30am, I decided to inform all my Hub friends about totally Free Internet marketing knowledge out there. I wish, that every member of HubPages community could have the best possible education about Internet marketing free of charge. I believe, we could promote our Hub work on Internet even better with appropriate knowledge and tools.
There is a huge competition on Internet between billions of web pages, about which web page - which Hub is going to be ranked high in Google and other search engines. High ranking of your Hub by search engine is the only way to get traffic to your Hub, beside direct traffic from this site (HubPages) or other direct traffic, which is not so important as 'organic traffic' in the long term.
We should really do as much as possible to optimize Hub pages to be 'fit for the Google' and the rest of the Internet.
The World Biggest Free Internet Education Program
Thirty Day Challenge is certainly the biggest FREE Internet Marketing educational program in the world. It was created by Ed Dale (Australia) and Dan Raine (Great Britain). Yesterday (14.05.2008), Ed Dale explained for the first time, why and when he had decided to organize such an enormously large worldwide event.
When Ed sold all his web sites for a nice sum of money in only one day a few years ago, he was reading a book 'Icon'-a biography of Steve Jobs Apple founder, while waiting to catch a plane at the airport. At the same time it was quite popular 'activism' such as How to write a book in thirty days? Eventually, he felt somewhere deep inside, that he wanted to create something big, positive and meaningful, what could really help as many people as possible.
He used all his knowledge, experiences, his network of professional and private friends and his financial power to create something really big and very educational.
I would like that we as members of HubPages community could gain as much as possible from the vast Internet marketing knowledge, which is stored in the archives of TDC. We should use that Web knowledge to create as attractive Hubs and as SEO optimized Hubs as possible. We should also use the knowledge of how to optimally promote our Hubs in the WWW.
Ed Dale and Dan Raine
Purpose of Internet Marketing
World Wide Web includes billions and billions of different web pages. Every day, millions of new pages are created and added to the web. Which web page out of so many is going to be listed at the first ten positions - at the first page of the search engine ranking? (Only Google knows)
Special mathematical algorithm in search engine determines which web page is going to be selected and presented on the first page.
Internet marketing is a list of techniques and tools, which help us to learn, how to make desired web page more visible and more attractive for different search engines. Founder of Microsoft Bill Gates said recently, that about 75% of all web searches are performed by Google. The sheer power and influence of Google is so important, that in Internet marketing most rules are written only to optimally satisfy strict demands of Google.
It took me almost a year and I am still learning
I've started with Thirty Day Challenge for the first time in 2007. Even though, official part of TDC started on 1.August and finished on 31. August, it took me many more months to learn enough that I was able to start in the real world of online business.
I've started as a total newbie - absolute beginner. I have not had a clue about Internet marketing, social bookmarking, back link building, content creation, social networking, SEO - search engine optimization, blogging, Hub Pages. Even though, I personally really felt 'quite stupid' in comparison to other more experienced 30DC members, I decided to continue and to follow the teachings of Ed and Dale and their friends. I also need to admit, that I have not enjoyed any educational course before, like 30 DC in my entire life. Ed Dale and Dan Raine are so intelligent, creative, funny and financially independent, that their teaching methods are just amazing and always surprising. The are constantly following the latest technological changes and advancements and the constantly adapt their program to new circumstances.
Many times teaching methods of Ed Dale and Dan Raine reminded me to Dr.Richard Bandler and Dr.John Grinder (fathers of NLP), who have done so much considering creative learning.
Knowledge Archives and the Thirty Day Challenge are Absolutely Free of Charge
One of the most amazing facts about 30 DC is, that it is absolutely FREE of charge. The latest knowledge about Web promotion techniques, which could cost thousands and thousands of dollars if you buy it on the free market is totally free in theThirty Day Challenge.
By using only the knowledge of TDC I managed to obtain PR4 (2 pages even PR5) for my experimental blog in not even full three months of regular posting, web promoting, back link building, etc. I think, that is truly a great result for a non-professional. Still, I know very well that I need to learn so much more to be competitive.
I strongly believe, that we as a HubPages community could have gain so much more positive results with additional knowledge of Internet marketing, SEO (search engine optimization), creation of quality content, back link building, more active social networking, social bookmarking, etc. Organic search traffic from Google is main source of visitors to our Hub Pages. Why we should not try to do as much as possible to to get as high Google ranking for our individual and collective Hub Pages? All needed knowledge is available, FREE of charge and ready to use.
It also strongly encourages Community Spirit, which is 'condition sine qua non' - basic condition for HubPages community, as well. Together, we could achieve so much more in the highly competitive Internet market.
Old Lessons are Neatly Presented and Available
All last year's daily lessons are very neatly organized, structured and presented. There is also a live forum with thousands and thousands of solved problems and answered questions about Internet marketing and other related topics. You only need to register and you could immediately use all facilities there.

A great fun and so much new to learn about Internet Marketing

Creativity makes our Hubs more Attractive and Tempting for a reader
We should always try to be as creative as possible to make our Hubs really attractive and tempting for Internet visitors. We could only learn by observing other people's experiences and creative attempts. Social networking could largely enhance one's creativity.
Internet technologies are changing almost daily. If we do not follow them, we simply cannot be competitive and creative enough to expect good success of our Hubs on the Web.
30 Day Challenge is really HUGE
Every single month more than 1000 people join and browse the stored Internet marketing material on the 30DC web site, sometimes even 4000 in one month. All these crowd forces Ed and Dan to think constantly how to present these large Internet knowledge Data Bank as good as possible, and that is the reason why the layout of TDC web site is constantly changing and adapting to new conditions.
Last year, the servers were so very busy, that they crashed many times, when thousands of members wanted to download new material from the site, even though Dan had been constantly increasing computing power and data transfer bandwidth of the servers.

Hi Eileen, I hope you are going to get loads of new Internet marketing knowledge and experiences. It could be very confusing at the start, because it is so very wide topic. If you need any further explanation, do not hesitate to ask!
Especially, I would like to encourage you to apply for a special social bookmarking tool. You need to register to about 30 social bookmarking web sites with brand new accounts. That is going to be amazing tool for optimal promotion of your own Hubs and for HubPages site, as well.
Every day, I spend at least 2 hours for social bookmarking. This amazing tool is going to allow you to spend just a minute or so for even a better result.
Thumbs up from a fan
Wbisbill, thank you very much for your encouragement! We could really do so much more together, considering sharing useful Internet marketing knowledge and experiences.
My wife watched about 40 min of the TV show and then things got gummed up. Did not know if it was on our end or theirs. It was enough to get her revved up for the 30DC though! BTW was there a specific social bookmarking tool you were recommending to Eileen? Super Hub, keep up the great work and sharing.
I'd also got some little jams with receiving live video (there were more than 300 people connected to video stream at once), but it was very worthwhile to keep my motivation and community spirit fired up.):
Bookmarking tool is still in evaluation phase after almost a year of every day computer programming - really a huge job. They are testing their coding in Immediate Edge and other membership communities, but it is coming to Thirty Day Challenge with June. Be aware, that you are going to sign on time to Web 2.0 sites mentioned there.
Useful hub, solarshingles. I did the 30 day challenge in 2007 and it provided great information and what's more important, motivation. I'll certainly be signing up for 2008.
Caspar, thanks for your very positive comment. I hope we are going to rock this year!
Ahh, great hub. My wife did the thirty day challenge last year, I believe, and she's still going over the material and learning it. Now I finally know what it is all about. Thanks!
great hub have joined and will be going some where with it.
Great hub. Ed will be proud of you.
Thumbs up to you for suggesting this challenge to all the hubbers. As you know already I've signed up. Thanks for your information again.
regards Zsuzsy
Andy, thanks for your positive and motivational experiences of your lovely wife in Internet marketing, social networking, social bookmarking, content creation, search engine optimization!
MrMarmalade, we could improve visibility and attraction of our niche Hubs in Google, even more. Every one wishes, that her/his Hub could have attracted as many visitors ass possible. Well, we need to do our best to achieve that desire... (I don't think, that Ed is so easy to please, though-):
Dear Zsuzsy, you know that you are my special one! You are going to be shocked, how much more and how easy everyone could improve visibility-ranking of her/his quality niche Hubs in Google.
The Thirty Day challenge is an excellent wayy to learn about many aspects of using the internet.
It really is free. You don't have to buy anything.
But you'll have to be prepared to put time in.
At least a couple of hours a day to get the best out of it.
If you believe that making money on the internet is just a matter of buying some $79.95 E-course, and then sitting around in your underwear watching money pour into your bank account, be prepared for a serious reality check.
Sure, Ed and Dan have a product to sell, in the form of a monthly membership course that enhances what you'll learn in the challenge. But they don't ram it down your throat. Not at all.
If you want to learn about using the internet, and are prepared to put in some hours - sign up for this course.
And stop wasting your money on buying those useless, scammy money making products.
(Yes, I did the 30 Day challenge last year. It was time well spent, and I learned a lot)
Eric, thanks for your own personal experience of the Thirty Day Challenge. Exactly as you have pointed it out. There is no success without a committed hard work, but that is the same in any other profession. One needs to learn the basics, first and there is so much to learn, if one is a newbie. It is really so worthwhile if you could use that knowledge in promoting your hub pages much better and at no cost.
I went through so many Internet marketing courses. I was reading so many eBooks and Blogs about that topic. At the end I was totally confused. On the contrary, Ed's experiences is really huge and he doesn't need to work any more, ever. Yet, he enjoys in teaching fresh newbies, because as he says:'I could change their life to better, if they are committed enough, because Internet is one huge virtual, but real opportunity.'
Solaarshingles- I havet heard about the 30 day challenge, probably because I listed it as another spammy product. I will check it out, particularly since you gave it such a good review.
You've written a great hub - it's well written and easy to read, thanks.
pjdscott, thank you very much for your comment! 30DC is the largest organized institution about Free Internet marketing education on this planet. However, do not expect stiff professors and boring educational material there. It is about real life, real people from all walks of life having fun and learning on the way. Creation of text content, photo content, sound - podcasts, video and video editing and much more. How to do it, how to optimize it and how to optimally promote it in a group of friends.
p.s.
Successfully promoting your Hubs is much, much easier and more powerful in a group of your buddies, than individually. Keep in mind social component of 30DC, which is one of the purposes of HubPages, as well.
Hi solarshingles, I need to learn more about the INternet and marketing, so I'll give it a shot. Thanks. :)
Dear Patty, it is my great pleasure to get your comment, here. I am more than sure, that you are going to find loads of useful new knowledge about web promotion in 30DC.
p.s.
Contact me anytime, if you need anything more detailed, because you could really ROCK on the Web with your great collection of highly professional hubs!
solarshingles,
I have just spent the last hour getting ready for class to begin... all signed up! Thanks for the info. Great HUB.
Very nice In The Doghouse! As I could have seen from your blog and your hubs you are on a very promising highway into the virtual world. Internet marketing is never ending and ever changing story.
If you need any help just send me a private email, anytime
I signed up about a week ago and am a little overwhelmed by the number of emails I am getting. I really need to take some time and focus on this. Great hub, by the way!
Steph, just take it easy. Whatever you are going to learn there is going to help you considerably with promoting your wonderful hubs, no matter, if you won't consume all Internet marketing matter, there. It is stored there for anyone to use anytime, really. Free of charge. Perfect for any green, fresh newbie.
Ed Dale likes to speak a lot. He speaks a lot more than any regular teacher or university professor. He is telling stories about Internet marketing, social bookmarking, social networking, web 2.0, SEO-search engine optimization, content creation, etc. Ed is an Australian story teller, who stands firmly on the ground, even though he flies all over the planet. He reminds me to Milton H. Erickson, Dr. Richard Bandler, Dr. John Grinder, Dr. Paul McKenna, who are telling stories with no meaning, but after a few days and weeks everything starts to come to its place and you are finally starting to see the bigger picture of Web Promotion and quality content creation.
Ask anything, if you feel confused...we all feel confused when we start...
Hey thanks - that helps!
Wow!! You seem to really have hit a nerve here!! I know we are all "supposed" to be doing this for "the writing" but I am doing it for the income!! Thank you for the links!! We are all over it!! Thanks for sharing!! Blessings always, Earth Angel!!
EA, thank you very much for your words about the thirtydaychallenge. I still remember how very lost I was, when I started with Internet marketing as a total newbie. If you have a few online income streams you can afford to pay for a professional services, if you wish. But, when you are starting any web marketing activity I believe, you should learn that 'web 2.0 promotion alphabet' absolutely free of charge. The fact, which is even more important here, is building your social network - a group of your own friends, who are willing to help you with their time and their knowledge for free. You help them back and their is a circle, which starts to roll...
EA, you have a truly beautiful web site http://www.earthangelpublishing.com/ sorry, but I am very curious and I simply needed to check):
I have registered today and I'm looking forward to learn as much as possible ; thank you for the information .
You are more than welcome Baban78. There is so much to learn about using Internet marketing tools in an optimal way. Start to use them on your hubs, blog or web site and you are going to experience a very interesting results.
Thanks for sharing this. This was a very informative hub.
Thanks SweetiePie. Just dig a bit into Thirty Day Challenge data bank about Internet marketing and you are going to find a real 'hidden treasure' of knowledge for us hubers.
Wow!! this is quite a hub!!.lots of usefull comments too and something that i too need to get my teeth into!
Thanks for this hub.. im off to signup;)
Thanks Compu-smart! It really pays off, if we could also apply the proper Internet marketing optimization tricks to our hubs to rank them better in google and other search engines. World wide web has billions of pages, which are competing for the attention of people who are searching the web. It is up to each one of us hubbers to make our hubs as attractive as possible also for the search engines, not only for the visitors. A recipe for any Hub success should have been:
1. Quality content of each particular Hub
2. Search engine optimization of each Hub (on page, off page)
3. Marketing - promotion of each individual Hub and HubPages.com, as well.
Rogar that; solarshingles:)
Thanks again for sharing your expertise in this field which im learning by the day and trying to implement by the minute!;)
We are learning every day...that's life. Internet marketing and SEO is constantly changing field of many opportunities. There are a few very smart people there, who are not young by their age, but by their heart & life energy, and they are willing to share that knowledge for free.
Hey there Solar,
Great Hub, my friend. As an online copywriter, I know only too well how it takes hard work, dedication and most of all patience to see a successful SEO project through to fruition. You need:
* Unique original content
* Search engine optimization that is relevant
* No blackhat SEO tactics
* Quality in-bound links
* Continuous work at refreshing your web content
As you mention, social bookmarking and networking is another valuable tool, although you need to make sure you pick the ones that work more effectively. Technorati, Newsvine, Digg and Stumbleupon are just 4 of the best out there.
I'll make sure to check out the 30DC challenge out of curiosity - good luck with your future projects and goals! :)
Danny, thank you! It means a lot a kind and encouraging word from your long term successful professional expertize! You also mentioned some of the best Web 2.0 social network web sites for getting loads of attention for a quality content if performed optimally. I hope we are going to have a lot of fun together in 30DC 2008 and to learn more to improve the quality and Google visibility of our Hubs. Community is really great in TDC, especially because its leaders Ed, Dan, Rob and many more active members.
This sounds like just what I need--I'm in--just signed up. Thanks so much for this Solar Shingles The marketing part is much harder for me than the writing part so this is perfect.
Robie2, very good! Tell me after a while, if this suggestion of joining 30 Day Challenge had been of any use for you, and how much new Internet marketing knowledge and experiences had you managed to obtain there, please.
Just the opposite for me. Writing in English is very hard for me, yet Internet marketing is a kind of 'a piece of a cake'...))):::
Love the videos. Very informative. I'll check this out.
Shadowmage, it would have been very worthwhile. This videos are just a tinny little example of a wonderful large 30 Day Challenge community. I am really honored to be its member. It is absolutely FREE.
Very nice hub solarshingles. I am a newbie at this and am always looking for ways to learn how to make sense of this all. I would love to be able to write for a living someday. Thanks for the info. Your friend drummer boy
Thanks, Drummer Boy! Keep learning and you are going to achieve your wishes, if you are committed and focused enough, soon. You could be lucky for at least 3 large reasons:
1. You are proficient in English language, which is the language of this World
2. You wish to write for a very comfortable living and your personal freedom
3. You have Stumbled upon 30DC, which could become your fantastic starting position about obtaining basic knowledge and experience of Internet marketing.
Solar shingles, I am completely clueless about so many of the tools I can use to further myself with my hubs and elsewhere for that matter. I leterally fell upon Hub pages in my quest to earn money thru my writing. I never even realized this entire business was out here. My biggest problem is I lack the time to learn more about it because although I am a stay at home mom, the kids are ALWAYS distracting me and I just can't sit down long enough to investigate. HOWEVER, I will definitely try to sit down and try to give myself a little time each night after they are asleep to figure this thing out. I will definitely check out the 30 day challlenge website. Thanks for suggesting it and for joining my fan club, which is what brought me to your hub in the first place. God Bless.
CherylAne, you are so right. Simply too many information, which take far too much time to select, to digest and to master by practical learning.
However, we simply need to learn the alphabet of any new activity, if we want to perform it in an optimal way. Even the best writing cannot be successfully presented to the readers, without a proper promotion. Web writing needs web marketing to be much more visible.
How to achieve Traffic - number of visitors to our web site to show them our quality content. That is the task of Internet marketing. Ed and Dan have a very unconventional approach and techniques of teaching Internet marketing and related topics. CherylAnne, just take it easy. A few minutes every day could make a miracle in one year, considering the practical web marketing knowledge.
Thanks so much for the info! I was just reading about this last night and considering whether or not I should try it out. I think you have helped me decide! :)
Amy, thanks! We are living in the time of Internet and computers. We simply need to learn how to use them easier and better to serve us in whatever we are doing. We can do the best possible product, service or Hub, still not many people is going to stumble upon our great work, if we don't know how to promote it. There are some basic skills, tips and tricks of web promotion we should all learn, as we all learn how to dress, drink and drive a car.
I like the videos and information in this hub.
Vijayagarwal, thank you for your kind comment about the Thirty Day Challenge. These are only the little snippets of how very creative, funny and useful could be 30DC for its members.
Like you, I'm a newbie. I think I need to try this program. Thanks for the info. I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks for alerting us all to this program. I am a newbie and am just eating it up. I look forward to learning from this -
KelleyMari and Rob, thank you for your words! Let me know if you need any further explanation about any topic considering Internet marketing and 30 Day Challenge.
Great Hub, I bookmarked it and will check it out soon. Thanks for sharing, very useful.
Cgul8m, thanks for bookmarking! Basic knowledge about web marketing, social bookmarking, social networking, search engine optimization could really help a lot to all hubers on HubPages.
I've been studying SEO for the website I maintain and have been doing reading into Internet Marketing for personal interest. Thanks for spreading the word about what you've come across. I like your advice to other commenters here too - slow down, breath, and to take it all in at a pace that is realistic for us. Thanks so much solarshingles!
Dear Diana, your kind and wise words mean a lot to me. There are zillions of web marketing and SEO 'experts', yet when one analyzes their own results they are almost non existent. It is all so very confusing. It is quite easy to copy and to write about the topic of SEO and Internet promotion, but much harder to to do it in real, to technically play with endless possibilities, to test and to measure. And to make everything even more challenging Google non-stop changes its rules and its algorithms. It takes hundreds of hours to learn the topic of SEO, Internet marketing, social bookmarking, networking, etc. and thousands of hours to learn them well. (I am still only a quite fresh apprentice to this topic and I am following people who are constantly delivering good results and they are still down to the earth, that I can openly speak to them and to ask them any question. Ed and Dan are certainly good guys, who are financially very successful, yet down to the earth.
I like your web sites. You are doing a good job with your poetry blog Settlement Cookbook http://settlementcookbook.blogspot.com/ and with your very well organized art work at Didoart http://didoart.net/index.html
Thanks for the heads up! It really is great to have a person like you in this community.
Twohandtouch, thank you! I also like your ultra high, positive energy, which flows all over the Hubpages. And I could also assume how many hours have you already spent of the web (don't worry, I won't tell your mom): because you are quite an expert in some topics of Internet marketing.
p.s.
Twohandtouch, make your profile page more text rich, please...do it for me and Google will reward you))):::
Thanks for the compliment! And thanks for not sharing with my mom all the time I spend here and *not* on the phone with her!
as for my profile, ask and ye shall receive. Is that what you (and google) are looking for?
The 30 day challenge is a great way to learn about internet marketing and the many aspects involved in it. I can tell you from experience that Ed Dale is a great teacher and great to learn from. Not only that he makes it alot of fun, he has so much energy.
Moifah, thank you for your kind words about Thirty Day Challenge and Ed Dale! One really needs to experience to believe, how learning about complicated topic of Internet marketing could be interesting with loads of fun under the right teachers.
p.s.
It costs NOTHING!
Exactly, that's what is so great about it.
I just had to come back and say thanks one more time! I have spent the last week going through the TDC from last year and I have learned so much. And you are right -it is not painful at all. :) Although I knew about it before reading your hub, I was on the fence as to whether or not it would be worth the effort. Now I am looking forward to this year's challenge. So, thank you! Wow, I sound like a commercial, huh?
Thank you, Amy Jane! There is no better Internet marketing promotion than a real testimonial of one's personal experience, even though I believe, that Ed Dale would have strongly advised video testimonials in this very moment. However, Your photo and your written words are more than enough for me, though! Looking forward to work together in 30DC 2008.
Solarshingles ...There is nothing esle to say but the fact that I just love Ed and Dan ...they are truly my heros ...I do not know how I found them but I followed them on the last Thirty Day Challenge. It was so great that I could not believe what they would share for FREE. No one else had done such an entertaining job as these guys. When you are done ...you feel you have known them all your life and that you never want them to go away ...so I had to join "The Edge" so I could follow them. I just can't say enough good things about them. You have found a great team. Stick with them and you can never lose. Thanks for joining my fan club solarshingles and I will look forward to your posts in the future.
Very interesting hub. From the number of comments and the fact that you respond to each and every comment and no doubt check out and bookmark each one too and also probably become a fan of each and everyone is already a prodigeous effort. But as we all know you only get out what you put in. That's the lesson of life. Only on the internet its a bit faster!! Remember there is no such thing as a free lunch!
Gjcody, I simply cannot add nothing better, than you did about Thirty Day Challenge, Ed Dale, Dan Raine and getting new knowledge about Internet marketing and social networking, bookmarking, web2.0,content creation. I am really proud to be a part of this amazing community.
Dear Sixtyorso, you are so wise and so right in your comment! World Wide Web - Internet and broadband connection have given us brand new opportunities for electronic socializing, learning, spending our time or performing business activities. I truly enjoy learning new interesting technical tips and tricks of web promotion and socializing, every day. I also need to admit, that I could meet some truly wonderful friends on that way. Thank you!
Solarshingles, Wow! I am highly impressed and madly motivated! I usually only have about an hour a day after work and after my daughter goes to sleep, but guess where I'm going to be spending that hour! (Not doing dishes, I'll tell you that)! I'm going to TDC right now. Your hub is well worded and easy to understand. Thanks so much! I'm the least knowledgable in the entire community I think, but maybe now I can kick it up a notch. Thanks for becoming my fan too. You're really making a difference with your hubs, which I can only hope for in the future.
SavannahEve, very good commitment, indeed! Just take that one hour per day and be persistent. It'll pay off so much, if you are going to know more about Internet marketing and social networking & bookmarking to optimize your online virtual real estates, even better. Please remember, nobody was born skillful for life. We are all learning. I maybe know more of this, but you know much more of that. And do ask, whatever you don't understand.
Thanks again solarshingles. I just came through your hub page. This seems like a pretty good program. I can't wait to get started learning about the 30 day challenge.Have a good day
Joe, thank you very much! If I could judge by my own learning process about the topic of Internet marketing I could only say: Thank you Ed and Dan and Robert! The knowledge I've got for absolutely free of charge is worth $thousands and I am using it every day more and more.
Solar you are incrediable thank you for this information Ive been a roofer for years and had a bad accident cant work again and I am so new to this I feel like the only chance I have too support my family is internet but I dont know where to go what to try,Now I feel like I have some reliable info thanks~cool~cya mate
Thank you Paul! I'm very sorry, to hear about your accident, Paul. You could find many people in 30DC community with similar problems, however I need to admit, that some of them are the most passionate and active members of the community, there. Check this personal blog of Allison Reynolds for example. I can assure you, that she is one of the most inspirational and active members of the Thirty Day Challenge http://allisonreynolds.com/blog/about/
Paul, there is so much very interesting to learn about Internet marketing, quality content creation, social bookmarking, social networking, search engine optimization, etc. There is so viable opportunity to entirely financially support your family by building your Virtual Real Estates (Hubs, web pages, web sites, etc.), which generate income streams for your personal financial needs.
Never pay a dime, before you learn the very basics of web marketing profession. Follow Ed Dale and I am sure you won't regret it.
Thanks for posting this info, SolarShingles - it seems there will be a "Team HubPages" of some size doing this challenge.
I'm in!
Jenny
Dear Jenny, very good news! I am always there around, because I haven't found a better place on the Web about the topic of web promotion and a better company of positive people, as well. See you there, Jenny.
Wow so many comments ! I remember hearing about the 30DC last year: but Iwas in the middle of the Australian desert and therefore had no chance of joining it: I recall it was a website a day for 30 days yes? This year I in the midst of the bloggerunleashed competition which runs until the end of August so I guess my timing is off again - I am tempted though: what sort of time commitment is it? There is just so much to learn in SEO and its so tricky - sometimes I think I am making progress and then I just loose the plot AGAIN LOL ! Maybe another viewpoint would help or would confuse - any advice?
Dear Lissie, it is a great honor to have your comment on this hub! I truly respect your work and your very str8, open and loud anti spamming attitude, as well! Judging by your already quite admirable and extensive knowledge about Internet marketing and quality content creation you wouldn't need more than 1 hour per day to commit to the Thirty Day Challenge 2008 (Ed Dale's words). It is worthwhile because: 1.) Ed Dale is an Australian as you are 2.) 'Internet Marketing Confusion' is the term, where Ed is far the best of all, to make it easy and to clarify it as much as possible. 3.) Nowhere, there is so much fun as there is in the Thirty Day Challenge community. 4.)Ed (has/is a part/owns) the best Web 2.0, 3.0 Tech Lab on the web, which is still partly open to the public by their state of the art software solutions. 5.)It is absolutely free of charge.
I owe you a dinner at any Gordon Ramsay's Restaurant in London, if you are not going to be very amazed by new knowledge and the Community Spirit at least 3 times during the Thirty Day Challenge 2008 (preseason, and the August challenge).
Wow, how come I never noticed the 30DC!? Thanks to Adam and to you I´m starting to get to know all about it. Thank you so much. I´m going to register myself right now ;)
Hey Ricardo, how are you doing? I'm glad you are going to register in 30DC. Just check all the material of the last year's 30DC2007, because it is going to removed at the end of this week. Send your URL to Adam to make you one PR4, which suits you. I'm sure we'll have a very good time this year, as well.
I am back again to say thanks. Two days I signed up for the 30 DC and have been reading a lot of the information on the site. It just goes to show you that there are still people left who want others to suceed and are not just trying to sell false hope. It maybee that Ed and Dan that created and teach the corse but it is thanks to you a lot of us will be able to benifit from it. Talk to you later. Also when you get a chance check this out. Thanks. http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=28
Joe, thanks for your very kind comment about the Thirty day challenge 2008. I haven't spent a dime until now, and I could say that I know so much more than ever about the topic of web marketing, social bookmarking and social networking. I'll check your link.
Great hub and great info. I am new to the whole internet marketing thing. I will check it out.
Thank you Jennifer! It si really worthwhile to learn as much as possible about web promotion and web2.0 social web sites and Web 2.0 tools to promote your good online work even better. However, this highly technical department could be so very confusing for a newbie. 30DC is just perfect for any fresh beginner in this vast field of marketing activities.
Such great information and so many testimonials... why, I do believe I am in also. So much to learn about marketing what we Hub about, and so many apparent resources to choose between. This one sounds like a winner that is well worth our time.
Thanks for giving HP a heads-up on this project.

Dear LdsNana-AskMormon, thank you very much for your valuable and professional support about promoting the Thirty Day Challenge 2008 as the largest Internet marketing even on the entire world. It is free of charge and everyone could learn some of the hottest techniques about social bookmarking, social networking, search engines optimization, key words research and other Web2.0 technologies. However, the peak of the 30 DC 2008 is the Thirty Day Challenge Community and its Spirit.
Great information. I am still a babe in the woods when it comes to marketing and page rank. You info will greatly increase my base of knowledge.
Thanks, Tom
Thank you Talford! Internet marketing is ever changing activity, which we need to learn and Relearn regularly. I do that every day and still there is so much new to learn, to test, to try. Many times we also do mistakes considering SEO and web promotion. Try to obtain a lot of new Internet marketing and Web 2.0 knowledge by joining 30 Day Challenge 2008 community. It is FREE of charge and a great fun.
I'll do it. Eat, sleep, job search, hubpages, repeat. Eat Wheaties.
Bueller's Way, it is very worthwhile to join the Thirty Day Challenge to learn a lot of the latest trends and knowledge in Internet marketing, social bookmarking, social networking and quality content creation.
Wow, I still have so much to learn. It's so overwhelming!
Thesuester, we are all learning something new every day. Internet marketing and web 2.0 technologies are topics, where the constant learning has become just a necessity, due to the constant and very fast technological changes. You could learn so much new about the topic of Hub web promotion in the Thirty Day Challenge, that is very worthwhile to try.
Great information! I belive you will really go far in your pursuits if you continue to push. I've only read 2 of your articles so far and I'm impressed. Thanks for the info.
Dear Priceless Sam, thank you very much for your very kind and very encouraging words! Your comment means even more, because you are a true professional in the field of quality content creation, which is crucial to any successful Internet marketing campaign. Without a good text, (pictures, video, podcast, etc.) it is simply not possible to make a reader to stay a bit longer on our web page or blog, and to become our regular visitor. Thirty Day Challenge is a free, non-stop Web Marketing event, which is far the largest in the world. It cost you nothing, but an hour of your time per day to learn 'the rope' of Internet marketing business.
really interesting topic to write about, and of course it appeals to every reader using hubapages. I must say, i was able to relate much more to this one then to solar shingles- (my construction skills are generally limited to construction paper, glue and scissors). Anyways, keep up the great work!!!
Annette, thank you for your kind comment about the Thirty Day Challenge and its Free Internet marketing education. Its purpose is to equip you with all knowledge needed to run your own online niche market business, which creates income for you. The purpose of Solar Shingles - Power Tiles is to use your empty roof and to generate the power/electricity and to help your family budget by lowering your monthly power bill. In combination with nice battery bank it could also make you totally power independent (the knowledge mentioned in both hubs could help your family budget).
Solarshingles ...you did a great job promoting this 30DC ...Great idea and great hub. I am new to social marketing ...but you did a super job. It has to be fun on this one ...Interesting that people have not heard of it before. I bet all of you are having fun ...My best to your successful marketing!!
Gjcody, thank you very much for your kind comment about the Thirty Day Challenge of Ed Dale and Dan Raine. 30 DC is much more than only an education course. It is firstly a great fun and virtual socializing all over the globe. I believe, every single member of the 30 Day Challenge community could find a very pleasant company, which suits her/him well. It is also much easier to learn and to exchange Internet marketing knowledge and experiences in so live group.
Thanks for sharing the TDC. Sounds like we can all benefit. I just hope I can understand it all. I'm not so techy but very willing to learn.
I can thoroughly recommend the 30 Day challenge as well.
I took part in it last year, and learned a lot.
Of course, the worst part (or the best part, depending on your point of view) is Ed Dale's laconic Australian humour which comes to the fore from time to time.
But if you do the challenge, be prepared to put in the time - and prepare to do some work - or don't bother starting. Probably a couple of hours a day should cover it for most people.
The marketing lessons you will learn in the free 30DC (as well as the support that is freely shared by other participants will be valuable to anyone who is interested in using the Internet as a communications medium.
The free sharing of information between participants stands out as a highlight, and it was in fact against the rules last year to promote anything where a cost was attached.
I have no hesitation is saying that what you will learn in the 30DC will far surpass most training that you could get elsewhere. At any cost.
And yes, Ed Dale has a monthly membership program that he sells, and would be of benefit to people after the 30DC. But this promotion is very low key, and is certainly not required.
Regards, Eric G.
P.S. There's a lot of video and audio based content. It would be difficult - but probably not impossible - for anyone with a dialup connection to take part.
Dear Babbyii, Thirty Day Challenge is especially dedicated to Internet marketing newbies - beginners. You could follow lessons from last year to get much better overview and basic knowledge about Web marketing, social bookmarking, social networking, content creation, new software tools, etc. Take it easy and don't rush. Knowledge - training lessons, forum, blog is going to stay there and will be accessible to all members 24/7/365.
Eric, that was more than a perfect practical comment about the 30 Day Challenge of Ed Dale and Dan Raine. I totally share my opinion about the 30DC with you and I've even started to like Ed's looooong talking and explanations and 'his performance on the stage' about any subject. He has always in mind 'green fresh newbies', who are quite lost in the wild and wide world of Internet marketing and online scamming and spamming. I need to say once more, that I'm immensely grateful to Ed, Dan, Rob and to 30DC community, because I do feel so more confident online, now. I've got the knowledge how to create an online income streams and how to grow them. I've found really good friends online and we are sharing loads of fun and many professional success stories, as well. My next goal is to jump from PR6 to PR7 (Google Page Rank) and to conquer some new business niches... Until now, I've spent $0 for learning Internet marketing, Search Engine Optimization, Social Networking and Bookmarking (a few computers and fast broadband connections excluded).
Eric, thank you very much for your great comment!
Sounds intriguing. Will have to check it out. I saw the video on the main website and I loved how "non-hype" it was. I grew very tired of all the hype and stopped reading antying "Internet Marketing" related for awhile.
Hi I just signed up for the 30 challenge and it should be a lot fun. I am excited about learning more about internet marketing.
Alyice, you are right about zillions of Internet marketing scam all over the Internet. It could be quite hard task to find something really valuable and free of charge. The Thirty Day Challenge of Ed Dale and Dan Raine (plus Guru Rob - Rob Somerville) is an oasis of Web marketing knowledge exchange. It is absolutely free of charge and it encourages you to socialize online. One person could be very limited in its range of activities online, due to the lack of time. Social bookmarking, networking, quality content creation, back link building, SEO-search engine optimization, off-line promotion, etc. are very time demanding activities. In group you could achieve so much more. Just try it, you won't regret it...
Hi Jim, I share your excitement about the 30 Day Challenge. It is so much fun in that fantastic community. Thousands of individuals from all over the world are there to cooperate and to exchange the knowledge of Internet marketing, social bookmarking, social networking, web2.0, etc. Even though, there really is a large crowd, everything is so neatly organized and controlled, that you won't feel lost in virtual space, as it usually happens to every newbie, when enters the world of online small business creation. Ed, Dan, Rob and others are far too experienced and resourceful to allow anyone to omit an optimal learning curve into the Land of Virtual Properties.
