New generation taking “kid at heart” idea to extremes

March 17, 2008-A new trend in young male behavior has been rocking the nation in recent years, according to a recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Chicago. The findings suggest that as men approach mature ages, they adopt the attitudes, habits and hobbies of pre-teen boys.

With the onslaught of the new entertainment systems such as the "Wii" and the popularity of children's books like Harry Potter, the evidence for this phenomenon is beginning to emerge in the mainstream, making it hard to ignore. And while career goals, financial stability, and balancing independence with family responsibilities remain the motivating factors behind many a young man's success, a new group is taking American culture by storm, reclaiming their boyhood.

The men in this particular group preferred activities such as playing video games, looking at naked girls on the computer, eating Doritos and drinking Mountain Dew to more mature and conventional activities, such as getting a job.

These young men also displayed a heavy reliance on female family members, particularly mothers, for laundry assistance, help with waking up in the morning/afternoon/evening, borrowing of the car to go to 7 Eleven, and general housing and meal preparation.

In general, these preferences seemed preclude any interest in college studies, obtaining a drivers license, owning a home/renting an apartment, or earning an income.

This cultural shift has become so apparent that even the young women in the same age range are beginning to feel the effects.

"I mean, poop and penis jokes were pretty funny in middle school," said Sally Jones, a 26-year-old lawyer and aspiring presidential candidate. "I just never thought I'd be hearing them at the bar 15 years later from a guy who's asking me to buy him a drink."

"It's pretty sad when you catch your boyfriend watching the Disney Channel," said Anita Mann, a college professor and professional athlete, who has been supporting her 29-year-old boyfriend for two years. "But I guess it's better than when he used to watch scrambled porn and drink Nesquick all day long."

Researchers at the University of Chicago do not expect this trend to fade anytime soon, since preteen activities are so readily available to grown men.

"I'm gonna go home tonight and block all the kids programs on my TV," said Mann.

American men are what they have been made to be, several generations of militant feminism, with no dad or good male role models raised by working moms, baby sitters and public school. Add a media that ridicules anything manly or macho, and then at the same time promotes violence and thuggery. The outgoing strong boys are put on Ritalin or similar drugs while their minds are still growing. In fact 8 boys to every one girl is put on Ritalin. Girls have always done better in school than boys and yet most outside funding is there to help girls. Boys get Ritalin girls get extra school help.

At last June's graduation at Franklin High School just outside of Milwaukee, three of the four students who tied for valedictorian were girls. Among the National Honor Society members, 76% were girls. And girls comprised 85% of the students on Franklin's 4.0 honor roll.

The superintendent of schools for this upper-middle-class suburb, Gerald Freitag, investigated those numbers after the parents of a boy filed a complaint. He found that the skewed performances by gender at Franklin pretty much mirror the imbalances across the state and the nation.

Schools nationwide have changed their teaching style to better help girls learn while little boys are simply fading out of the system, by highschool most are gone.

Most adult women have way more power than they realize now in the US. Men already know it. It is simply safer to be a boy. Is it no wonder that they would rather live in cartoons and video games?

If you want real men, you will have to go to countries that still allow that sort of thing. However you will also have to deal with all the risks that comes with that.

Garry Nelson, your ignorance pisses me off. I won't even bother responding, because I can already tell you won't hear it.
