We just celebrated our son's 3rd birthday last week. My son loves Thomas the Tank Engine so much and know many characters from Thomas The Tank Engine. We chose Thomas The Tank theme for his birthday, and he was over the moon. Here, I just want to share my experience on how to Thomas the Tank Engine theme birthday party.

Thomas The Tank Engine Cake

I used Thomas The Tank Engine cake topping for my son's birthday cake as it is easy to do and It looks great. There are also Engine shaped cake which is need more time and patient to make it.

Thomas Invitations and card

There are so many type personalized birthday party Invitations to choose from. Or you can make one by yourself. Try to make a ticket train shaped invitation card and post it with the train stamp on the envelope.

Thomas The Tank Birthday Activities

For activities, make a big face of Thomas for pin the nose on Thomas game (it's like an old game pin the tail on a donkey). Set up various tables, one table with crayons, markers and Thomas coloring sheets, another table with Thomas train tracks, another table with a Thomas puzzle and a TV for playing Thomas video.

Play the "hot train" game, just like "hot Potato", to the music of the Thomas the tank soundtrack playing in the CD player, children stand in a circle and pass the train toy, when the music stop whoever is holding the train is out.

Thomas Birthday Decorations

For Thomas Birthday Decorations choose Thomas theme color (red, yellow and a light & dark blue) streamers, balloons. There is Thomas and Friends Super shape foil balloon in the shape of Thomas. It is big and children will love it. Hang a few Thomas, James & Percy decorations spread around the house. Use one table for food and cover with a Thomas tablecloth and a cluster of mylar and latex balloons. Provide one kid's table, again covered with a Thomas tablecloth and surrounded by kid sized chairs. Do not forget Thomas plates, cups and napkins.
