The smallest deed is better than the grandest intention

This saying has nothing to do with small!!!!

I read this thought and didn't realize what an impact it would have on me. I have really thought about this all day today.

First of all I'd like to say most people will read this and do exactly that, have really good intentions and not follow through.

We all seem to remember at this time of the year to give money, visit our relatives who don't get out, give to a group in support of children, and all kinds of generous things.

What about all year long!!!

I can tell you I am so guilty of the good intentions. Let's see together how we might be able to better follow through. This could be even just making it a point to smile at everyone we see each day, to wave randomly as we pass another car, to be more caring of our co-workers feelings, to yell a little less at our significant other, or even as little as to try and have more positive thoughts about ourselves.

There are several other ways to incorporate small deeds each day into our lives. Try and come up each morning with something you might do to maybe brighten someones day, then put it into your mind and put it to use each day. You, I promise, will feel so much more positive, more energy, and like yourself so much more at the end of the day. You will eventually find yourself mixing and matching these "good deeds" more and more. You will find yourself not jumping on that co-worker so easily, instead you will find yourself wondering what they might be going through that is causing them to act so negatively.

Once you have mastered these small jestures of  good deeds, you will find yourself being able to notice when someone might need something, or you will be more perceptive to others mood and feelings for the day. ONE DAY AT A  TIME!!!  Don't boggle you brain, this is a slow process that is intended to become a learned behavior.

Oh, I know what you are thinking, "I will appear weak".  WRONG!!!!  You will appear in control.  We think everyone likes the brassy, mouthy outspoken person who blurts out everyone's faults and gets everyone to laugh with this kinda behavior, not so.  Take a moment next time you are witnessing this behavior and honestly critic it, you won't have respect for that person.  The respected ones are the ones who act kinder and gentler to their fellow man.  They are also the more trusted.

Through your constant positive andcaring nature, others will follow.  Your work place will become a place you want to be, your home will become more calm, even your brain will be at more piece.   TRY IT!!!!!  Good Deeds don't always cost money.  They are not always noticed right away.  They are really appreciated.

Thanks for reading.
