Thoughts of the day!/look before you desire
73What I wake up to each morning: Washoe Valley
About Me!!!WOW!!!!
This should be really fun. I found myself in an everyday humdrum. If you ask anybody in my life I have always been the positive, happy, and uplifting part of their life. Then, all of a sudden, I found myself steering clear of people. I had some forms of pain, grief, and heartache that had flooded my life and I lost myself. I didn't realize how this loss of my spirit had effected my friends. I had to get myself outta this slump, not only for myself, but also my friends.
I came up with a way to get me outta this and portray myself again.
I found a homemade book called heart warmers and I started reading one a day and sharing them with my friends. We talk about their meaning and how they could help us through the day. They have made such positive comments about how this helps them I thought it would be a great blog.
I will write the saying, then i will give you my friend Dee,s thoughts, and then my thoughts on it. I would welcome comments regarding you thoughts and how it might apply to your life.
I hope you enjoy!!!!
Before strongly desiring anything, we should look carefully into the happiness of its pesent owner.-La Rochefoucauld
WOW!!!!! Do we all miss this one.
Dee's thoughts: Before you accept into your life what you desire, can you handle it.
My views:
I started out wondering if this was only related to relationships, I suppose not. We could apply this to everything we do in life.
I called up several people, then i stood outside of a Walmart and ask people what they thought was their daily goal in life. The only answer I received was: "BE HAPPY"
I really thought about this. We as humans seem to interject ourselves into "unhappy". Not just on a daily basis, but on a hour by hour basis. We seem to choose the people at work that want to put us and others down to hang out with. We look to that man or women we think we want so bad with eyes wide shut. If we stand back and take a second look passed the instant gratification, or the feeling of fitting in, we would realize allot of the choices we make are negative in our wanting to just be happy world.
Today before you talk to that motor mouth, before you call that significant other, before you make a life changing decision, look beyond it. Is there happiness beyond the "honeymoon" period. How happy is the person we choose to hang out with. We aren't here to make the situation happy, try stepping into situations that are already positive and uplifting.
