ThousandDollarProject Affiliate RipOff SCAM?!?!?!

ThousandDollarProject
Free Money or FRAUD?
"I am giving away $1000 every 1000 minutes..."
That is the message touted by Chris, the owner of ThousandDollarProject and it might be true, but my experience as an affiliate in the PPC (Pay-Per-Click) program offered by the same site suggests that everything to do with Thousand Dollar Project is nothing more than another internet scam.
I joined the ThousandDollarProject affiliate program back in January and began sending traffic with the promise of making $0.05 per click. I saw it as a way to monetize some of my “make money from home” traffic. I placed his banners which encouraged people to click with promises of “Win 1000 dollars” and “I am giving away money” on thousands of pages across my network. I also purchased banner and text link spots in Make-Money-Online blogs and newsletters. Everything seemed to be going good right up to the time to pay.
When it was time for the affiliates to be paid Chris began to send out messages explaining that his PayPal account had been frozen and that he was in the process of correcting the error. He would then push the payment date back a week and then a week later he would come up with another excuse not to pay. This deception continued until April 28, 2008, at which point I was able to get him to send me $100 of the over five-hundred that he owed me.
Chris of Thousand Dollar Project then began to question the origin and quality of my traffic. Keep in mind that the traffic was just fine as long as he was getting it for free, but now that I wanted money he wanted to find another excuse not to pay. I explained to him that is he did not pay the account in full that I would be forced to write negative consumer reviews in an attempt to prevent other webmasters form filling into his trap. This caused him to file a false PayPal refund request claiming non-receipt.
I am not saying that ThousandDollarProject will steal from you. I am just saying that they stole from me! Please, do not take my word as law. Do some research on your own and you will find other webmasters that were scammed by ThousandDollarProject.

After reading your post on DP, I think I will jump to conclusions and call this a HUGE SCAM! I've opened two claims in paypal for an advertorial purchased through Chris as well as the subscription to the VIP program, so hopefully I can recover half of my investment......er......wasted money.
I will post on my blog: www.kevintperry.com about this and link to the DP thread.

I signed up for his VIP program in April. It was going fairly well. He provided lots of help and info and had organized some group marketing efforts. Now he has put is site up for sale, leaving me $350 in the hole....so I would also say he stole from me. I left a message for chris at chris@thousanddollarproject.com, but I haven't got a response yet. I'm not jumping to conclusions quite yet, but it doesn't look good.
