--> Malware <--
This term is used to indicate all those programs that are installed on your system without your permission.
Often malware cause major problems on the coputer the victim.
It is always harmful programs.
--> Virus <--
The border between viruses in the strict sense and other types of threats such as dialers, Trojans and worms is currently very nuanced.
The term virus has therefore become synonymous with "malware".
--> Virus poliformico <--
They are defined as those viruses that implement an algorithm that allow the mutation to any infection.
In this way detection by the antivirus software becomes more difficult.
--> Virus boot <--
Types of viruses that infect the boot sector of floppy disks and hard disks.
Today there are almost disappeared.
--> Macrovirus <--
Attacking Word documents, Excel, Powerpoint and similar hiding inside of them in the form of macro novive.
--> Worm <--
Usually the worms do not need, such as classic viruses, bind to executable files but require user intervention to infect the system.
This barrier, however, is falling for some time because many worms to start self exploit vulnerabilities in the operating system that does not solve the user through the application of appropriate security patches.
Like viruses, worms contain a piece of malicious code (payload) and increasingly trigger a backdoor or a keylogger opening the door to other types of attatto from Network.
--> Trojan <--
The Trojan Horses ono a digital avrsione of stratagem used by Ulysses to enter the city with his soldiers.
The Trojans seem to want information that is not in order to force him to launch a program actually harmful.
Trojans not normally spread automatically consistent viruses and worms and are used to install keyloggers and backdoor on the computer of the victim.
--> Backdoor <--
The Backdoor is used to take control of a machine as they open one or more doors "service" that allow outside overcome all security measures adotate on the system.
--> Keylogger <--
They are malicious programs that record the keys pressed by the user and then ritrasmettono password and personal data in the Web.
Attention! If your system has found a keylogger, after his well eliminazioneè immediately change all passwords.
--> Exploit <--
Security flaws are present in the operating system and software.
The Network is full of software that allow you to exploit these flaws to damages (have access to the system, take possession administrator rights, steal passwords and so on).
This is one more reason for matenere always constantly updated the software used (starting from the operating system).

The last thing that I need is a virus. I've got AVG. Hopefully that will keep that at bay (I hope).
Good article
You've listed threats I didn't even know about. Thanks. Good hub.
Good article vobor ...I just paid 300 dollars to have my computer restored to it's orginal state. Not to mention the time lost with my work. As much as I know about these things ...I still get caught ...and I think I have a good system protection. What can I say ...there is always the evil out there. Thanks for the good information ...my best to you!
Geat Hub Vobor, i had them all under 'virus' I had never heard of keylogger, and thats really good to know, thanks
