On most search engines shoes or shoe and or what this is about is how to tie a shoe lace is searched thousands of times a month. You can watch those that are tricky and flip their foot around and the shoe lace ties. This doesn't work. It is a trick. Here and now I can teach you what you are doing wrong if your shoe lace unties within minutes of tying it.

Works the best on leather shoes and leather boots. Shoes. New shoes and old shoes. Alright enough of that. Nice thin waxed shoe laces. Males or Females shoes. These are the ones that loosen in seconds unless you tie a double knot.

In most cases men and women that wear leather shoes know how to correctly tie their shoes. If they don't then they tie them and keep them tied by tying a double knot or some type of knot to get the laces from loosening.

Here is the answer. Tie the first knot opposite the way you always tie it. I am right handed so i normally make the first loop by flipping the right lace over the left under and though. I then when making the next loop I do the same right over left under and through. This what they call sadly a slip knot.Well that is how I tied in for the past 40 years. My next step was to tie it again thus making a double knot. Darn knot never untied but it took a few minutes to get it untied because I ended up with a serious knot.

The wrong method is a slip knot "go figure" the correct way gets you square knot. This will not loosen.

Now here is the secret. Make the first knot the other way. Opposite the way you always tie it. So I am right handed.

I flip the left lace over the right lace under and through. Yea it is tough. Easier to do the first knot the opposite way rather than the next one. Then tie the next knot the regular way you would tie it.Snug the knot down nice and it is done. It will not loosen the entire day and evening until you untie it.

Now the left handed person male or female it is done just the opposite. Instead of left over right for the first knot tie it the other way. Right over left. Do it the opposite way.

Now that you have learned this try it. It will not loosen. I have gotten all dressed up in a suit with my best leather shoes on and my shoe laces loosen before I leave the house much less before I get downstairs.

Now that you have tied your shoes laces correctly you will notice that they hang properly as well. The loop and end will hang down the side of your shoe like they are supposed to. Wiggle your foot and the laces end hanging nice and neat on either side of your shoe.

Looking at other people's shoes as you walk around or stand at a light in the city you can easily see those that are tying their shoe incorrectly. The tied knot is bunched up in the middle or off to one side or the other. It is so obvious.

This will get you drinks at local bars. The conversation will get your friends attention. Some will look at you like your an idiot but if they tie them wrong they will be listening. I promise. It works for me from time to time to get a free drink.

Remember leather shoe or shoes, any shoe that uses small or large laces. Sneakers on the other hand it doesn't matter. If your sneakers untie then this will work for you as well.

The biggest thing you'll get from this message is now you know how to keep your shoe laces tied.

Most people tie them wrong.
