Let's look at the five most common knots here:
The Small Knot Video
The easiest way to tie a necktie is by using a tie knot called Small knot or Oriental knot. It took only one minute to view the video and another one to two minutes to tie the necktie.
The Four Classic Knot Video
The four most commonly worn necktie knots are Windsor knot, Half Windsor knot, Four in Hand knot and Pratt Knot.
The Windsor knot is also known as Full Windsor or mistakenly called as Double Windsor. It is the most well known necktie knot being used in the world. It's a big, symmetric and nice-looking knot commonly worn in formal ocassions like job interview or a business presentation.
The Four in Hand knot is the easiest and most commonly worn knot among the four classic knot. It's a small and asymmetric knot which is more appropriate for informal ocassion.
The Half Windsor knot is easier to tie than a Full Windsor knot and looks better than a Four in Hand knot. It's a medium and symmetric knot which can be used in most ocassions.
The Pratt knot is also a medium and symmetric knot looks quite the same as the Half Windsor knot. However it is easier to learn than the latter.
