Tighten Up Nuts
56Killing Ocean Life
It took 88 days and 100’s of gallons of oil flowing freely daily
into the Gulf of Mexico to be cap off after the oil rig exploded in
April, 2010.
The capping off gave some people a sign of relief.
Yet we know this is not the end of what needs to be done
to restore the land in and around the Gulf of Mexico.
Although this area has had many disasters in the form of hurricane
And winds reaching f4 and f5 magnitude sending water over and
Above man made dam. It was totally different when the rig
exploded, and oil continued to be force out of a breaking pipe.
This is a man made disasters that kill ocean life. The fowls of the
air in search for food along the ocean way was taking by surprised
when oil kept them from returning to a flight.
The grass land or marsh land that housed small animal and inserts
are now gummed up. For 88 days oil was choking the life
out of grass lands, leaving it to die off or burn up because the oil
covers that roots system.
Ocean traffic of small boats and large one are now grounded, To
keep them from spreading the oil from one end to the other.
They are also concern with the amount of oil that the boat will pick
up causing additional clean up of they equipment (another owner
expenses).
Beaches and businesses that starve during the summer time on
tourist are still trying to survive with one or two tourist walking
along the beach front, when the true crowds are missing.
The next 48 hours will be a defining moment for the oil companies
as they tighten the last nut to cap off roaring pressure of the black
gold oil once escaping now under lock and key.
People are still worried about the toxins mess it has left behind for
the next 88 days. Will those who are helping to clean up this
massive project get sick from the oil or the toxins that it leaves
behind. Will the next 88 days tell us anymore than we know now?
