Spring Forward Fall Back

When do we do it? Well here it is depending where you are:

In 2007 the USA Daylight Saving Time Begins March 11 2.00am and Ends November 4 2.00am. The Clocks go Forward an hour in Spring and Back an hour in Fall.

In European Union Daylight Saving Begins March 25 1.00am (Greenwich Mean Time) and Ends October 28 1.00am (Greenwich Mean Time). The Clocks go Forward an hour in Spring and Back an hour in Fall.

An easy way to remember for next time is that you spring the clocks forward in Spring and fall the clocks back in the Fall.

The reason for daylight saving is to help people enjoy more sunlight in the summer months. It effectively moves an hour of sunlight from the morning to he evening so in the summer we have longer evenings. This is the first year the USA has begun this but it has been running in Europe for some time and has benefited greatly from it.

The US is a week behind - it's next Sunday, even though some clocks changed by mistake.
