Time Management Advice

Time is Everything
When it comes to time management for home based business it’s the old 80-20 rule that always seems to apply. After a little research, the principal of the 80-20 rule was first published in 1906 by a man named Vilfredo Pareto which is why the rule is sometimes referred to as Pareto’s Principal or Pareto’s Law.
He stated that 80% of Italy’s wealth was owned by only 20% of its population. And since this time others have used this rule to describe that 80% of your results actually comes from 20% of your efforts.
Or another way to put it is in the home business industry 80% of your sales comes from 20% of your inventory.
Of course none of these rules are going to be exactly true, however it is important to keep this rule in mind because you can use it as a good motivating factor to get you to improve you effectiveness and time management skills.
I will now give you 4 points that you should use in order to produce more productive hours in your business day.
1. Do everything that you find hard First.
By this I mean, if you find a task or job hard to do. Then practice doing that task as the first job your day. Over time you will get better at this job and so you will become more effective at doing this job which will mean you won’t be spending as much time doing it.
2. Get into Technology
If you thing about it technology allows us to do things more effectively. Spend time each week learning about the new technology on the market because why do things the old way and take 3 hours to do it when you can just buy a new gadget that will help you complete a new task in a matter of minutes?
3. Learn to classify you tasks
If you can learn to classify all your tasks then you can work out which tasks are similar and you can then arrange to do them at the same time which allows you to leverage your efforts.
Or you might have so many similar tasks it maybe cheaper for you to spend a little time searching for someone who can do these tasks better than you and thus it frees up your time completely and lets you get on with other more important jobs.
4. Plan Business,
Its import to think of your business as a living creature and its environment will change with time. So always think about the processes that are happening in your home/internet business and see if there is a better way of doing things.
Once a month I employ an external person to look at my business plan and make comments as to where I could make my business more profitable.
These are just some of my home business crating tips. I give a lot more for you to think about on my newsletter and I also give personal feedback about people’s businesses.

Good information. I wish I could get in that efficient mode 80% of the time instead of only 20
