Timetable for troop withdrawal

It's always awkward to be the person who points out the obvious, and I usually try and avoid that at all costs. But this, I feel like I have to speak out about!! Okay - am I the ONLY person in the world who sees the hypocrisy in the situation in Iraq right now? So, the government of Turkey (Iraq's next door neighbor) decided to send troops into the Kurdish region of Iraq to battle the PKK, a Kurdish militant group who has been attacking Turkey on a regular basis. But, the United States raised a huge stink about that, and is now demanding a timetable for withdrawal of Turkish troops from Iraq?!?!? Am I the only person who can see these strange parallels? What possible right do we have to start demanding that Turkey remove their troops from Iraq, when we can't even get our OWN noses out of Iraq's business? One quote that I heard from an American official was that he expected the Turkish troop deployment to last for "days or a couple of weeks at the most, not dragging on for months." EXCUSE ME?? This is beyond me. We need to take a look in the mirror before we start pointing fingers at everyone else in the international community. I'm sorry, I try and not air too many of my political opinions because I think I'm a little more "radical" than a lot of people are comfortable with, LOL... but I was bursting at the seams and really needed to share my thoughts about this. Thanks for listening!
