Along with these varieties of sound, other tinnitus symptoms are dizziness and headache. The dizziness usually occurs as one hears the noise inside his or her ears. Subsequently, the common ailment that joins dizziness is headache. In addition, pain in the middle and/or inner ears is/are also felt as the perception of such noise in the ears occurs. This pressure that takes place within the ears produces the annoying sound and gives rise to the pain.

Furthermore, the person experiencing tinnitus can feel that there is something that is blocking his or her hearing passage. This happens after a popping sound is heard in the eardrums. For this reason, the ear canal feels like something has been plugged into it. As a result, the person now has the inability to hear well.

The symptoms enumerated here are common to ringing ears patients. Now, if you hear sounds in your head, be it a hissing sound, a roar, a high pitch tone etc. you might conclude that you have tinnitus symptoms. While the audiologist is an expert in hearing, the otologist, on the other hand, is a physician whose specialization is the ear itself.
