Cola drinks are something a lot of us drink and some of us drink far too much of them. Cola drinks are not good for us as they are packed full of calories. So how do you cut back and stop drinking cola drinks. This hub will teach you how.

One key to stop drinking cola drinks is to find a healthier drink alternative you enjoy. I suggest you try drinks such as green tea, white tea, and herbal tea. Have then hot or iced you can flavour them with fruit juice for added interest. Once you have worked out which ones you like best buy a few of them and drink them in place of your favorite cola drink.

If you are a heavy cold drink drinker then take it slowly. Do not try to go cold turkey on day one. Cut back one cola drink each day for a week and in it’s place drink a new healthier drink such as green tea.

Cola is very high in sugar and calories so think how many calories you will save by cutting these drinks out. Four cola drinks a day amounts to approx five hundred extra calories each day.

If you must have carbonation then you can try sweetening seltzer with a little fruit juice to create your own healthier version of a soft drink.

To stop drinking cola drinks, don't keep them in the house. If you're going to have one, force yourself to get it only when you go out. Don't make them easily available or you'll drink them out of boredom.
