You should also begin to eat smaller meals or snacks during the day instead of the traditional three meals. Eating smaller portions will help you to only consume the amount of food your body needs and won't store any as fat.

What you eat is also very important. Be sure to include plenty of fruits and vegetables in your diet. Eating enough fiber will make you feel full longer, prevent you from overeating, and help you to maintain a higher level of energy throughout the day. Limiting your salt intake is essential because sodium stimulates weight gain and water retention.

This may sound silly, but chewing your food better can help your body to digest food easier and will make you stomach feel fuller. If you feel full, you should stop eating. It is more important to lose the weight than to worry about wasting a little food.
