How to Get More Traffic and Make More Money on your Blog (100thHUB)
This is my 100thHub. In this hub I want share my experience and lesson I learned (more traffic and money making hubs) while writing hubs. Before I do this I want say thanks to all my fans help me surviving with positive and negative feedback I received on my hubpages. Special thanks is due to some my favorite hubbers includes Dottie1, Nancy's Niche,countrywomen,Vladimir Uhri, maven101 , Candie V , Pete Maida , quicksand,BrianS, jim10, readabook , \Brenda Scully ,Frieda Babbley, anjalichugh, RooBee, SweetiePie, AEvans, Cris A, Misha, blondepoet, LondonGirl and frogdropping
Now here is the lesson I learned to get more traffic to your hubpages. Having all your eggs in one basket is no way to get a good traffic. Create multiple baskets and get real Traffic. Here are some of my ideas:
1.Pinging:
Ping is like raising the red flag on the mailbox to tell the mailman you have new mail to be sent. In this case, you are telling the weblog tracking sites that your site has been updated.
I have noticed a difference in traffic after pinging. I usually ping my site in morning and evening not all the pages, just few blogs who I find has less traffic. I find within half hour my traffic increases to about 20-25%. Here are some free sites I am using for pinging:
2.Submit your site to Bing:
Lot of time web crawler can not find most pages on the Internet. However if your site does not appear on Bing, we can send us the address (URL). Here is the link for this:
3.Yahoo Site Explorer:
For this you need yahoo account. Yahoo crawler will extract links and find pages not discovered already. This will automatically detect updates on pages and remove dead links on an ongoing basis.Here is the link for this
4.Yahoo Buzz:
This is an extension of Yahoo! that uncovers the most remarkable and timely content from websites across the Internet. We pull in the hottest stories from a broad assortment of Web publishers throughout the day, and we give you the chance to be an editor by voting (“buzzing”) stories up or down, submitting them to buzz in the first place, and having a conversation around them via commenting. You need yahoo account to use this. Below is the link:
5.Reddit:
To use this we have to register for using this to submit your link. Here is the link for this:
6.RSS Feed Network:
This is free site to submit your feed. Copy your feed from profile page and paste on RSS file URL.After that select your category and subcategory. Then click submit. You will get this message. Existing RSS feed successfully updated!
7.Social Bookmarking Sites:
Send your link to all the social Bookmarking sites. Most of these sites need accounts. I am using following site to get more traffic:
8.Participate in Forum:
Participate in hubpages Forum or any other discussion to get know to all hubbers.
9.Google Feedburner:
The FeedBurner service will take your feed and reproduce it on their fast servers while tracking reader statistics. I highly recommend signing up for the service and letting them burn your feed.
10.Personal Contact:
Send emails with your hubpages address to people you know. Also create your avatars with your blog links.
11.Hubpages with different topics:
Create new Hubpages with different topics. This helps in having traffic all year around.
12.Comments:
Always provide some good feedback to other hubbers. Also if somebody comments on your blog. Say thanks to him. One of the most unique aspects of blogging is its social impact. Therefore, it's essential that your blog welcomes readers and invites them to join a two-way conversation.Always provide a constructive critcisim.
2nd Part -Now I will discuss about how to make money by creating blogs.
1.Create hub with selling stuff in mind:

Keep updating new blog. This help new bloggers and old bloggers to give you feedback and that generate traffic for money making clicks. Here are my current hubpages:
9.Help new and old bloggers:
This is good way to get more traffic and more money if you help new and old bloggers.
10.Create a New free Amazon Store:
You can also have this store.I am also getting some money from my Best Online Deals Store. This free if you have account with Amazon.
In the end I want say that after doing everything you needs some luck and hardwork.

To start with I thought pinging was something that happened to your motor in a car. I never knew that it was something you can use to get traffic to come to an updated site. Wonderful information and I will be using it for sure regards brownlickie
Most of the tips you shared are also very effective in getting traffic to your own Hubpages too, as well as other websites you may have. Although I don't have a blog right now, I'll be using your ideas for my Hubpages & my own sites as well, thanks alot !

You've certainly written a lot of hubs if this is your one hundredth. Congratulations on that. These tips you lined up here tell me you've experimented with what works. I'm assuming the other side here is true: that you've tried other ways to magnet traffic and they didn't work. That's the kind of spirit many hubbers need but don't have. Persistence and imagination. Good hub.
Really it is a matter of working at it and spending time marketing yourself and hubs. Those that think they can post a couple of hubs and walk away while making $$ are foolish.

This is a very nice hub with tons of great info. I'd like to make some comments to enhance some of your ideas.
- It's best to ping a website after you have updated it
Overpinging a non updated site could get you into trouble.
- http://socialmarker.com/ and http://socialposter.com/
can greatly automate your social bookmarking process while providing many new social bookmarking sites
- Writing articles with related keywords (at sites like squidoo, blogger, ezinearticles) and linking to your hubpages blog will increase your authority on the specific topic in the eyes of the google people
- respond to outside forum topics and yahoo answers in the areas touched upon by your blog and then socially bookmark those comments and answers that you provide
These are few more gold nuggets that will enhance your ideas
