Have you ever heard of an intimate candle themed wedding? Well me neither, but I sure do believe you cannot have a true romantic and intimate wedding experience without candles! You even have the unity candle for goodness sake, which show that candles can represent an abundance of things. However I am here to give you some great tips on how you can planning your romantic wedding by using candles throughout the entire process; everything from candle centerpieces, candle wedding favors to tea light candles as apart of the décor. So make sure you grab a pencil and paper because you may want to take notes on how to woo your guest at your romantic candle themed wedding.
What Does A Candle Represent?
A candle represents a number of things, including the love that lights your future husband’s world. A candle wipes out darkness and shows us how love can brighten our beloved’s life. When we are near a candle, we feel warmth, just as we feel warmth from the love of our spouse. A candle can give a sense of direction and draw people together, reminding us of how our love is a binding force.
Ways To Incorporate Candles On Your Wedding
Centerpieces, we all love and adore them and having candle centerpieces will enhance the intimate and romantic feel on your special day. When creating your candle centerpieces think along the lines of having different size candles with flower or rose petals spread on the table around the candles. The flowers will add that special touch. You could also work with floating candles or tea light candles; everything doesn’t have to be extravagant to look exquisite. Remember when having a romantic wedding, sometimes simplicity is better.
Candles are great for double duty, great for giving of a dim romantic light and they are a great addition to the wedding decorations. If you have a platform or a cocktail bar set up at your reception you can have votive candles or tea light candles surrounding that particular area. This gives off the perfect romantic vibe for your special day and the candles are being used as decorations.
Now to my favorite part, the wedding favors. With candles gleaming all over the room, you can give your guest a token that represents how you feel about them attending your wedding: candle wedding favors. You could give a votive candle with a note that says “Thank you for lighting up our lives today by taking time and enjoying this special day with the Smith’s”. That will be a special way of saying thank you and your guest will be pleased that you adorn them with such a great memorable favor.
