The first thing I did was to get organized. I purchased a separate notebook to keep track of the surveys I wanted to join: writing down all the pertinent information such as which email I used; username; password (making sure the one on paper is the one that was accepted); any special login notes needed. Then when I got back the email acceptance from the company I wrote that information in the area as the original. Any special ID numbers. I also put the date done in the margin as the dates to me are very important.

Then, I made a search about doing surveys online for extra cash. There are scads of free websites that will give places that want you to do surveys but please check them out carefully to make sure they actually will pay.

Determine if you just want to do fill in with no participation required or if you would like to get "free" gifts for a small cash outlay. I learned the hard way to read the fine print. So I go to that section at the bottom of the page to find out what their rules and regulations are first before signing up.

The survey I chose was strictly filling in answers to different questions as to my life style; what I liked to eat; what health problems I have; what products I use for various household needs. The surveys are based on this information. There are companies that disqualified me because they didn't like the honest answers I gave to the questions. These surveys aren't something to make up answers about because I know they will come back to bite me in the future.

Surveys are fun to do; answer a few questions and you are on your way. There are all kinds and some are more appropriate than others.

On the other hand, make sure this is what you really want to do or are you looking for a few quick bucks in your pocket. If that is the case then look elsewhere as surveys probably won't be your quick ticket to riches.

But, if you need something to fill in a few hours than doing surveys will probably work and will make you think about things that haven't occured to you before.
