Welcome to my Tips and Strategies To Making Money On The Internet hub page!

I'd like to introduce myself by saying I have been doing business online since 1999. I started my online business by promoting affiliate products, then after a couple of years, I went into Internet Marketing and Niche Marketing.

Yes, I still promote some affiliate products (meaning I promote and sell other people's products), but I mainly create my own informational products and software, and sell them on the Internet with good success.

Why? Because it is more profitable!

Why promote and help sell someone else's products where I only make a percentage of the total cost?

It makes more sense to create my own products and keep 100% of the profits, and build up a name or reputation doesn't it?

Yes, there are some outsourcing costs for things like research, hard copies, DVDs, Transcripts, etc ...

But the reality is anyone with half a brain can make money on the Internet, and do well at it these days!

All it takes is finding the right guide, a little ingenuity, some research, and some work. It isn't hard work as much as it is repetition, but it will still take work. The more action or work you take or do, the more skills you develop. It is like anything else you do in life that is worth while.

Now, you came by this hub for a reason, and I'd be willing to bet you were looking for ways to make extra money weren't you?

I know the economy is poor here in the United States; perhaps you are living in similar circumstances where you need extra income to make ends meet.

If so, good! I hope this is the case because if you are truly doing research on the subject, that means you have a need, and are more willing to pay attention and learn.

You may be saying to yourdelf, "I can't do something like that!" Or, "I don't have any skills for something like this."

Well don't fret! Most of us started out with the same thoughts in mind. Honestly, we are human too, and we would be lying if we told you differently, or tried to paint a rosey picture.

You have to put work into this business to profit from it, but you can be your own boss.

To be honest with you, the whole point of me creating this hub is to help other people just like you get started making money on the Internet, and do it with no to minimum cost!

One of the hold ups for people wanting to learn how to make money on the Internet is fear. People are afraid to try because they feel inadequate for whatever reason. There are other people who are afraid of success too.

Believe it or not, fear keeps at least 80% of the people who thought about making money on the Internet from starting.

That's right!

Did you ever see a deer when your headlights shine on them at night? Well, that is what happens to some people once their idea of profiting online begins to churn in their brain.

People freeze like deer!

It seems like the longer they think about the idea, they eventually convince themselves there is no reason to try. They are basically frozen and defeated.

I hope You make a decision right now to at least make an honest effort to try some things before you give up, telling yourself that you cannot learn or work on the Internet.

Trust me on this one! You have all kinds of knowledge stored in your brain. It is like a big database that stores tons of files. You can pull any file from that database at any given time right? Well most of the time.

If something isn't in your database, there are plenty of people online who have it in theirs, and they are fairly easy to find if you know where to go.

This is why it is important to find the right guide or mentor that will teach you what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. Just make sure you pick someone who succeeded at what you want to accomplish.

One way to do that is to check out some Internet Marketing forums. Once you register, read everything you can that has to do with your goals (what you want to accomplish).

If you are not sure, don't worry, something will click with you when the time comes.

Pay attention to who posts what, and how they respond while you are in the forum. You will learn quickly who is successful at what they do. You can also pick out people who are interested in the same things as you.

If you do not have a goal or set of goals, I suggest you get a tablet and pen then sit down and write your goals. Ask yourself, what am I trying to accomplish here? Is it extra money to pay off bills? Do I want to make a living on the Internet full time? Is it marketing experience? Is it to be the expert of a specific niche?

Write your big goals down first. Once you figure out them, you can refine them and make smaller goals to obtain the bigger ones.

Some of the biggest tips I can give people starting out in Internet Marketing or Affiliate Marketing is how and where to network.

Most of you reading this Hub page know a little about networking in general. If you don't, networking is nothing more than being social or relational. You can network with one individual, a group or community, or several communities together.

People network all the time, they just don't see or call it networking. Our world for instance is one huge social network. We live in what I call a social realm. If not, we would be living like hermits where no one interacted with anyone else.

To me, being a hermit is not natural. I was good friends with someone who called themselves a hermit. But in the end, Jim found out he could not live in the world and stay sane without human contact. He had basic needs that needed fulfilled, and without that fulfillment he felt incomplete.

It's tough not to be connected to someone isn't it? We must look at Internet Marketing in the same way. It's about fulfillment and survival!

Years ago marketers worked online but depended more on the people they knew in the brick and mortar businesses for promotion and other things. When the Internet started building momentum where most people owned a home computer with Internet connection, Internet communities sprouted up all over the place. That's why Web 2.0 is so hot right now. Web 2.0 is about Social Community!

If we want to make money on the Internet, we need to learn how to use Social Networking to our advantage. "Leveraging" is a better word for it. No one can remain an island to themselves if they want to do well. You heard of the old saying, "power comes in numbers" haven't you? Well it's true!

One way to build your network is by using forums, especially forums filled with people who share the same interests. For instance, if you are an Internet Marketer you might want to find Internet Marketing forums or communities. The same is true for specific niches, or Affiliates.

Why?

It's basically because of the camaraderie or commonality with these types of forums. Most members in specific forums are there either to add information or receive information, whether it is about specific products, needs, or just to share and grow together.

If you are just starting to make money on the Internet and don't know that forums should be an integral part of your daily activity, you need to do some research and join at least one to get the experience.

The best way to get the most out of your time in forums is to become an active member of the community. This way, people get to know who you are, and how authentic you are. Participation in Social Networks such as these also helps build your reputation. If you are a member that's been in the community for a long while, you may even become an expert to many other members.

Get to know people in the forums you frequent, give, learn, and grow with the community.

I am kind of picky which forums I visit because these are people I want to either learn from or go in business with at some time or another. So be choosey about who your future business associates will be.

The reason I say this is because I usually find people for partnerships on certain projects in Social networks. Plus an added bonus is when I find lifelong friends. This way I gain a bigger pool to draw from for help, promotion, etc ...

To make more money using a forum, you can put your links with a short advert in your signature file so your product or service shows up every time you post. There may even be ways for you to show links in threads. But, the trick is to know how to do it, so you or your post does not get deleted.

This should give you a few ideas about what Social Networking can do for you when you add it to your marketing arsenal. Use Forums and other Social Networking site to your advantage. Leverage ever contact you can make to help your business adventure, and I guarantee you will be making good business associates and making money before you know it!

Hi guys,

Yeah, I know it's been some time since I posted to my Hub. My apologies to my readers, but I've had a million things on my plate in the past few months. Two of them are major projects I was rolling out.

Now to continue my discussions about Networks, and making money online ...I've already mentioned that forums are a great way to build networks, trust, and reputation. The fact is, I've noticed many people still struggling to get an edge into a good network of people where they can trust and partner with. This is one reason I went off to start one of my latest projects, a new Marketing forum and marketplace.

In older forums, it is tough to get into something you can earn big on because most people have already started building their network a long time ago. This doesn't help much considering most networks do not want to add newerr members. These networks want to add established marketers who are already getting tons of traffic, have a name branded on the Internet, and who make money ... large sums of money. They remind me of the bigger corporations.

BUT, these newer forums that are sprouting up make way for new networks, new possabilities, and a way for people to get in on the ground floor so they get established easier or quicker. It's also easier to build solid networks and partnerships that will last a life time.Now I'm not saying that the older forums don't have a place in our marketing because they do.

Older forums offer many things to us. Some of them being marketing power, backlinks, indepth strategies, and more! So do not abandon the bigger older forums because you may think they don't suite your immediate needs. That would be like shooting yourself in the foot.What I am saying is that everything has its place online, the new and the established. And for the not so established marketers who want to get the same kind of edge as the more established marketers do, newer forums might be the key that will give you want you need to get off the ground.

I'd like to think that an even mixture of both new and old is the main key to success. You have to remember the more preserved ways of doing things while adding the new into the mixture to stay on top of things.
