Sewing is very relaxing and also time consuming. Sewing takes a lot of patience and attention to detail. It's like putting together a puzzle. My tip would be, like any other profession, learn your machine, purchase all the necessary sewing gadgets you will need to use to make your experience easier, get familiar with the different types of threads, cloths, and clothing patterns. Know that mistakes happen, but that's part of the learning process. Start on simply patterns and as you progress, advance to the more complicated ones and before you know it, you'll be designing clothes for yourself or a fashion show.:) That's only if you really take a passion to sewing.
