Introduction and Ideology

I have been on the online world excessively in the last two months working towards finding a right formula to making money online. The amount of articles I must have read in the last 60 days is uncountable but I am grateful of it. I am passing this tips along and there is so much more but I thought I would put together something for new readers especially to get on the right track really quickly. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to comment. Thank you for your time.

Ideology

Before making money using Hubpages and other article submitting sites is you have to understand especially with adsense, and in the online world in general, more than making money right now, you have to work towards setting up A GENERATING REVENUE. This means you have so many articles out there and you are only working towards finding a consistency in revenue every month. So in this thought, your not worried about how much EACH hub is making, but more so how much all your hubs are working together to make you a GENERATED REVENUE, which in my point of view is something I would rather work for than a one time fee. You have to also set your writing success date to about 3-5 years from now. I know what your thinking and yeah that is a long time but if you genuinely want to make a part time career and revenue off this online writing world you must understand this idea. Many people dont understand this and give up after a few hubs, but ladies and gentlemen, if making money was that easy online, everyone would be doing it. The only reason this isnt the case is because you need to spend many hours online and spend many hours being patient. Hence why I say to set your goals expecting good revenue 3-5 years fron now and work towards that. With the idea set, now you can take the steps.

Making Money Online

Major Steps

Step One

To begin making money on hubpages or any article writing driven method is to do the research. Yes you have heard of it, its called keyword research. Go to google adwords and find keywords that pay you good money per click. Make sure that you pick topics you would genuinely love to write about, hence keeping the act of writing a hobby rather than a job, and dont be greedy about the amount of money being made per click. You have to understand that if you pick high paying keywords, that means the competition is heavy under that topic, and the demand for articles with that topic is very high.(that is why advertisers are paying so high for topic) This means your article better rock alot of people's world to see the benefits. I suggest you find the balance where the keyword click paying is good and at the same time you love the topic so you will write a very good article, which will mean a very competitive piece of content.

Step Two

When picking topics to write articles about you have to think about topics that will generate you visits today and 10 years from now. When I write articles, I always make sure the topic is relevant today and could be relevant 10 years from now hence you will have an opportunity to make money off this one article 10 years from now. Doing some research for this setp would be beneficial. Go online and find websites (or use our beloved google) and find out what people are searching for today and then do research and make sure the topics you pick are gaining in popularity so it would still be popular 10 years from now. In this regard, I suggest topics in technology, science, and other topics that will be relevant today and relevant 10 years from now, even in a way that your article written in 2009 would be a history lesson for people in 2019, hence them wanting to read your article from 2009. Simply by adding an rss feed to your article(this will keep your page "fresh") and by updating a hub every once in a while, you will be able to possibly generate revenue off these articles FOREVER. This all depends on the article's longevity, so always write articles that could be relevant now and far in the future, hence your planning ahead, and planning ahead itself brings many benefits and you know this through your own personal experiences.

Step Three

Write your article and make sure you write so the world can understand you and at the same time appreciate your writing. This means making sure the article is without grammar mistake or spelling mistakes. Also make sure the language you use is understandable and admirable, which means people should understand all the ideas you are expressing, but at the same time be impressed at the level of your writing. (Use big cool words but please dont overdo it and lose many readers)

Step Four

Finally, some people will tell you social bookmarking and networks wont help you especially with backlinks and what not and they may be right. But here is how you have to look at it: You have a great article and its on one site where all the people who visit that site will be able to see it. So now by you going to all these different social bookmarking sites and networks and placing awareness of your original article, you are opening gateways from which a ton of traffic can come from. Dont worry about the banklink, worry about all the traffic (which are humans) that will come in and give you the opportunity to make money through clicks. When you go to a social bookmarking or networking site, keep this mind. What you are about to place and backlink(link back to your original page) is what is going to convince people to come see your original writing. So by you writing A SENTENCE about your original article and leaving it at that wont be as productive as placing lets say a 100 word description of your original article. Good social websites include facebook, digg, delicious, hubpages, etc.

Final Step

One last thought I would like to pass is dont worry about keyword density and using your keywords excessively to get search engine results. Although this may be beneficial, it is not neccessary. IF you have a good article that generates some traffic due to its quality, and you go out and do some social bookmarking and networking and gather more traffic, eventually the search engines will come looking for your article due to its popularity. Also, since you dont mess with the keyword density and what not, the search engine will reward you even more when they do find you.

If you follow these pointers you should get a good start on making money writing articles. By all means I dont have all the answers so please comment and let me know if i missed anything. I urge all the writers out there not to give up and continue writing and continue figuring out what is working for you and what is not. By you fixing what isnt working, you are yourself building a system to make money through writing, so you are always gaining something, whether it be learning lessons or generating revenue.

I suggest you google strategies for keyword research, there seems to be many options. I have one suggestion and that entails you going to google and using their keyword research tool. Using this tool you can find out how many ppl are searching for every particular topic every month using the google search engine, locally and world wide. So know that if you pick topics that have millions of searches for it, then you will have a ton of competition, whereas topics that have 50-100 thousand searches a month would have less competition and a better chance of your content being reached by the world. The next step I would suggest is you go to google's adwords where advertisers can advertise according to the topic they want. By researching here and finding out how much advertisers are paying for each topic can give you a better idea of how much you may make. Take a look at this hub, it is useful.

Hi, thanks so much for the informative hub! I am really new to this and just finished my second hub yesterday. Right now I have over 90 visits on both hubs, which I published my first hub three days ago. I am not sure if this is good or not, but it is great to see people actually visiting! Thank you again and good luck on the success of your hubs!

congrats on the visits! Almost a hundred visits in a few days and you only have two articles sounds like a real good start. Just stay consistent and keep hubbing, you will only receive what you put into this, so the more effort and work you put in, the more benefits that will find you sooner rather than later. Thanks for the comments.
