Grace Stevens was recently widowed. The loss of her dear husband was difficult to cope with and things were made worse by the fact that she had to handle the dwindling financial affairs. After a discussion with her accountant Grace realized that she would be unable to pay for the mortgage on the house. And yet, the memories and emotions that bind her to the house make it difficult for her to sell it. It is then that her accountant asked her if she wanted to sell property and rent back. It sounded like the perfect option for her. And after due thought and consideration, she decided to sell rent back. Today, she lives in the home she shared with her husband and is so attached to, and yet doesn’t have to worry about the mortgage on her house.

More and more homeowners are choosing to sell property and rent back. While the reasons for choosing to do so may vary the advantages remain the same. Life brings changes that most of us did not anticipate for; you may have bought a home and taken it for granted that you could pay the mortgage for it. After a change of job things may now be different. You may worry about your home being repossessed or you may have enormous debts that seem to pervade every aspect of your life. Or you may have simply decided that you really don’t need to own a house but quite like living in it. Then sell rent back is a great option for you.

What is sell rent back?

Sell rent back, as the name suggests is when you sell your house and rent it back. You benefit from the sale and yet enjoy the comfort and joy of living in your own house. Like every coin this one too has a flip side. When you sell property rent back you sell at a price lower than the market value. But if you look closely it is quite a great option for you to think about. Consider this, if you sold the house on the market you would have to pack and move out. In addition you would have to look for a place to move into. You would also have to spruce up the house for prospective buyers, get an agent to help with the dealings and hope that you get a fair price.

The alternative of ‘sell my house and rent back’ allows you to sell your house and yet continue living in it. So no ‘For Sale’ signs on your front yard and no packing and moving for you. This means that while the price may be lower than what you may have got on the market you reduce the effort and heartache of moving out of your home. Also you may not want people or even family members to know that you want to sell the house. In that case contacting a registered buy rent company assures you that the sale will be handled discreetly and confidentially.
