Trying the luck in the markets has always been a favorite past time for many. Decent sums can be harvested off by careful planning and market study. Some do it for pleasure purposes, some do it as their sole means of livelihood, and some use it to make some extra money. The hobby is known to provide a good profit potential, and an unknown thrill factor which has kept many hooked into the profession. Never see day trading as an easy method to harvest money.

This is the golden rule to be followed at all the times. Understanding the basic concepts of stock markets are the initial steps. Being a complete newbie is also not going to help in the long run. The mantra is to keep on buying the stocks when they are in low value and returning them to the market by selling them when their value is high has always been the bottom-line.

Now the question which arises in the readers mind will be as follows…how will a day trader find the stocks value to be low and high? The answer is simple. It is all about prediction. Keep in tab with a stock exchange news channel. Acquisitions, earning announcements of multi national companies, issuances of the stocks are three of the most important parameters required for a day trader. An overall picture of the share market should always be present in the mind and this should include the larger shares too.

There are some stocks which will be having negligible price movements. Never bother going after them. Always invest on stocks which are volatile. Daily price variations of the stocks should also be kept on the mind. A sharp quantitative analysis skill is always required for a day trader. Contrary to the popular beliefs one need not be good in maths to become a successful day trader.
