Ways to Improve User Participation on Your Blog

Hmmm... As I read this request, I think of sharing some of my latest success experience about how to "Improve User Participation on Your Blog".

I have a blog on http://www.kpebiz.com (A bit of advertising here, visit me and give me some comments if you have time ... ;-)

This is one of the example I used to increase my blog participation. I ask for comments, feedback or review. Of course, please do not spam and keep posting it, you must find some forum or chatroom whereby you are allowed to promote your blog.

One of the place that I like most is BlogCatalog, it is a blog directory, you can post your blog to be included in the directory, you can also partcipate in the discussion forum. You can ask for review, ask for comment or even ask for link exchange in the forum. I have managed to increase some user participation in this discussion board and bring some traffic to my blog.

Another place is MyBlogLog, it is fairly similar to blogcatalog, you can visit other people blog and join their blog community, there is a chance you can meet some like minded people out there and invite the to visit your blog or give you some suggestions as well.

There are some Wordpress Widget you can install on your blog from BlogCatalog and MyBlogLog, the widget panel shows the latest visitors to your side. You can then interact with them.

Bearing the same concept in mind, you must make use of the latest Web2.0 community to improve your user participation. You can also post your blog URL on your MySpace, Technorati, Friendster, Multiply... that's how you can reach out to more people.

Of course, another place many people like to use nowadays is StumbleUpon. You will be able to bring some possible participation on your blog.

Another quick way you can invite people to post comment to your site: Well, create a post to invite people to leave their URL link for your select for blog review. They will be more than willing to leave some comments on your site and you can see your comments grow... ;-)

I wish you success....
