I don't know about you, but I am sick and tired of brushing dirt off of me all the time! What I mean is, I'm tired of friends and family, or so called friends, walking all over me! I'm so tired of this that I'm not going to take it anymore!

My friends owns a retail store here in town, she likes to put me down on the schedule to work and then not tell me until the last minute. When I say I can't she proceeds to tell me I'm all she has and that she would have to close the store and loose a lot of money if I don't work. So, being the nice person that I am I usually just give in. This scenario is happening this week. My hubby and I made plans a month ago to go to dinner at our son's girlfriends house to have dinner with her parents, a very BIG deal if you ask me. So, this so called friends informs me that I'm working on friday. I told her no and she pulled the you are all I have card and played it!

Ever since I have been trying to figure out ways to have someone else work or something, just for the last couple of hours that the store is open (she is open until 6pm). There is also a BIG car show going on the same night here in town, it's the biggest event in our little town so there won't be anyone out shopping! So I just got done asking her if we could close early so that I could make it to my dinner in time. She told me no, and that to expect to work until 7pm because she had customers last night that came in at the last minute, when we close at 6pm. So now I'm furious, and the friendship is not worth it. The way I see it, $6.50 per hour doesn't give her the right to walk all over someone that is suppose to be a friend! What do you all think?

SO, here is my delima. As you can probably see I am very bad when it comes to confrontation, and saying no to people, but you know what, I've had it! So, do I call her and talk to her and tell her I've had it and I'm done? Or do I leave a message on the phone and tell her I'm done and too bad if you have no one to work on friday? Or do I go and work and close the store at 4pm even thou she said I can't and then leave her a note stating that I quit, don't ever ask me to work for you again and such? At this point I don't want to work on Friday at all! And I'm throwing the friendship out the window! So, what would you do?
