To Carry your own Cross

What is it to carry your own Cross? It would be interesting to get feedback on this phrase. The Christian who has shared in the Spiritual aspects of the Crucifixion of “Jesus Christ”, will have quite a different answer than the person who has only read the words, but not experienced the pain.

Matthew 10:38 of the NIV states, “and anyone who does not take his Cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.” It goes on in the next verse to state, “Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake, will find it.”

When Christ came, He came to Free the children of God from the Law. He did not come to take away the Law, however, but to Fulfill it. The Freedom He came to bestow was not of this world. “Jesus”, Himself was a mystic. He was a Prophet of old and studied the mysticism of His day. He came to teach the children of God to look to the Spiritual and Believe. The Healing He brought was Spiritual in nature. He took on the Spiritual burdens of others in order for them to Heal. If Spiritual illness consumes us, in time it will be reflected in our physical bodies. It can be passed from generation to generation. As it is written, curses (burdens) can be passed to the 3rd and 4th generations.

“I have been Crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me” is from Galatians 2:20 spoken by Paul the Apostle, who in that statement acknowledges that he experiences the Stigmata. He shared in the Spiritual burdens and pain of the Crucifixion of “Jesus Christ”. The Mystery spoken of in the New Testament is the ability to share Spiritual burdens. The ability to help Heal one another. He has shown me the Mystery. Spiritual burdens are shared at varying degrees. Not every Christian shares the burdens of the Cross, itself. It is the Holy Spirit, the Ruach HaKodesh, whom Paul describes as living within him. He did not Understand the full and far reaching repercussions of being a Spiritual Christian. It was a new and different phenomenon from the Jewish tradition. The masses had no clue what the Prophets experienced in the Revelation. Only the mystic could relate to those enlightening events and what they were comprised of. Then, with the Pentecost, every Christian would experience to some degree, the Spiritual events of the mystics.

As time passed and men were in control of the new church established with the death of “Jesus Christ”, the vision and the passion was left behind in lieu of the power that could be wielded as a leader in the Christian church. Few Christians of this day know what it is to be a Spiritual Christian. Few know what it is to actually give up your life to Follow “Jesus Christ”. When He Called each of His Apostles and asked them to Follow Him and leave family behind, He meant it. Things have not changed. Very few contemporary Christians will up and leave their family behind to Follow Him. The concept is that you are re-born.  You came into this life alone.  You do it ALONE. You do not take a spouse with you. You do not take your children with you. And, the work you do is not for self gratification. You go where He tells you to go, say what He tells you to say, and do what He tells you to do. You do your Work for Him behind the scenes. There is very little gratification from mankind for the Work you do.  The Greatest Difference is that we will not be leaving this life alone.  We will leave this earth together.

The life of Joan of Arc is a prime example. She was very gifted and very powerful on a Spiritual level. You can expect Spiritual attack that becomes physical in form as you move up the Spiritual ladder. Most people turn away at the first difficulties. There is a Transition Period, between the time “Jesus” Calls to your heart and you are re-born into Christianity. You must survive the Transition period before you are actually “re-born”. Death comes in many forms.  It doesn't have to be a physical death.  Rebirth into the Christian Way of Life is an Event that occurs at the end of the Transition. A death event.

May this posting be a Blessing to all the Spiritual Christians who need to know that there are others out there experiencing the Way of Life with them and staying Faithful to the Church.

I have learned that many things in the natural were patterned after the spiritual. I believe that the birthing process is the same. There is conception (the moment of faith that we believe), the gestational period (time to grow and develop), and the birth (the point in which we take up our cross and follow Him with our whole hearts). Is this what you refer to as the "transitional period"?

I enjoyed your hub. May God richly bless you and give you much wisdom and light into His Word.

I do like your scenario of comparison to the cycle of the unborn child. There is Scripture that states that the one with leprosy has the white dead skin of the unborn child. That analogy is very appropriate, also, as before we are re-born, we are dead... in our sins. Once re-born, we are pure and clean, like the snow. Conception, in my mind, would be the point at which a person is Called by whatever is their god. The gestational period would, yes, be the transition through learning and being tested so that our God knows we are made of the right stuff... the Isrealites wandered the desert for 40 years during this type of transition period. Their lives can also be used as the scenario. They were led from bondage into the desert, where they stayed for 40 years, then Moses came and led them to the Promised Land... he, however was not able to enter with them. "Jesus" is the One who will take us all Home.

The birth would actually be following the death event. For every ending, there is a new beginning. A person should be Following "Jesus" with their whole heart from the point of the Calling. Through all the trials and all the test and pain, staying with Him all the while. The re-birth is a Celebration because we were Right and did what was Right so we have earned out Crown. The Crown comes when you have reached the highest Spiritual level... the Jews believe that this is not a level that a person is capable of reaching in this earthly life. It is called Keter, the Crown...

May God Bless you, Jachda... I would be happy to know what your name means!!!

Sarmack, I wanted to say that the most Wonderful thing about our Lord is that he first Loved us. He Loved me even when I did not know him he brought me to a point in my life that I am happy to die and pick up His Cross. The word of God say's no man seeketh me unless my Father Draweth him unto me. I was so blessed to feel that. See that is his Love he wanted me a no good for nothing man that was lost in sin. He called me with the Power of his Love and gave me a Peace that is unbelievable. God Bless

I am glad that you have experienced the Kindness and Love that God Gives. He says in return, "what are you doing for Me? What are you doing for My sheep? What are YOU doing for My lambs?!"

We have a "taker" society. That includes our mankind Christian church and its members. They take, not only from mankind, but from God Himself. They do not give in return. They do not live out the Great Commission. The things they do are self-serving.

Daily, I take on the Spiritual burdens of my biological family, my Church members, my country and its government members.

You would have to understand the extent of Spiritual Attack that this involves to Understand my life. For example, I have Prayed all the demons and curses off Atlanta, Georgia. The most evil city in this country. It was phenomenal, the beings and activities and effects that come at you when you Pray against evil. Things I only thought were in horror or sci-fi movies came at me. But, God Protects me. These horrific beings cannot get near me. I see them at a distance and then they disappear. This is only a minute portion of what my day and life for Yeshua exists of and for. "I have been Crucified with Christ, and yet I live!"

What are you doing for My Lord??? I would like to Know who else in this God Forsaken country does the Work of My Lord??? Who else Carries their Cross and takes on the Spiritual Burdens that God has Declared are their responsibility? The majority of burdens that end up coming to me were the responsibility of someone else who did not carry out their God Given Mission. And, yes, there is a tiered system in the Kingdom of God. Spirituality levels...

WHO ELSE does what God Asks of them, instead of doing what they want ALL THE TIME???

He has been trying to Speak to this country for over 50 years to bring us (U.S.) back to Him.

WHO ELSE will Answer Him when He Calls??? The "Trumpets" blew in 1998!!! For Heavens Sake...

Sarmack,

This is an interesting and thought provoking hub!

You are right few know what it means to be a "Spiritual Christian."

I see myself as God's child. I use the analogy of the child who is attached to the Mother. I have an invisible umbilical cord attached to the Father that keeps me dependent on Him for Spiritual nourishmemt. I continually seek the TRUTH

of His WORD and ask for the infilling presence of His Holy Spirit!

I know about the warfare and attacks that come when you commit to "being in the world but not of the world." To stand on the Lord's Word and know that the enemy wants only to discredit or destroy you when you commit to live for Him! Therefore I seek the Lord daily and Praise Him through the trials and the JOYS and remain prayful!

Thank You

Blessings
