To Eat Or Not To Eat, Meat Is The Question

Answer to "Why do Vegetarians/Vegans Condemn Eating Meat?"
As a child I was raised on a diet with regularly portioned amounts of meat in every meal. Now after many years of this ingrained training I am trying to ween myself off of meat. I know this lifestyle is not for everyone but it is a personal choice to become meat free. My reasons for wanting to become vegetarian has been a long process. Feelings of guilt and love for animals were mixed up with "It's my right to eat meat" mentality has hindered my progress. Plus meat just tastes so darn good. But despite all this and I'm sure I speak for others out there as well, I firmly believe that all life has a right to live and evolve without human intervention. That every soul no matter how small is just as important and has every right to be here just as us humans do. To breed animals for no other means than to become food I find to be very cruel. Also the massacre of wild animals for food such as the dolphins in Japan and the seals in the North Pole is completely unnecessary. On a more spiritual level the act of killing creates a consciousness of fear from the slaughtered and as a believer of nothing goes to waste, that would include energy too, and I think consciousness is an actual form of energy. Everyday millions of animals are being killed for their meat and if you are like me and think all life has a soul that is a lot of negative energy in our atmosphere than has been building up year after year and continues to grow with our population as the world demands more and more meat. On a vibrational level the process of eating meat slows the vibrations of our body's energy there fore hindering us from reaching a higher spiritual existence. I am sorry if this sounds preachy in any way but this has been a personal issue for me on many levels and it has taken me years to come to terms with this. I can no longer feel good about putting something in my body that had a terrible life and an even worse death. So if I do eat meat I prefer range fed and buy as locally as possible. Animals that would have been able to thrive and at least enjoy the time they had on this earth. With this type of thinking I hope you can at least now understand why a vegetarian/vegan would be disgusted with any one who would willingly put meat into their body and allow the death of an innocent soul just so you can have a hamburger. And I'm certainly not saying all them think that or share the same beliefs as I do. But I do believe in free will and if it is someone's will to eat a burger, who am I or anyone else to deny them. The only person we can change is ourself and if it makes you feel better as a human being to eat meat or not then by God do it. Just be grateful and enjoy what it is you are tasting. I hope I have been insightful to those wishing to understand. Thanks for reading :)
