To Tell Your Truth
51Telling the truth is like riding a bicycle. No matter how out of practice you are, it’ll come back to you. We are missing out on truth telling. We lie to ourselves over and over again, not willing to look at who we truly are. We complain about people; in most instances we have no power over others.
The truth I am talking about is about you, not someone else. To think you are telling the truth when you tell a friend that they are fat, or they do not look good today, or are ignorant, is not truth telling, it is criticism. Criticism is covert and comes from anger. Being passive/aggressive is not what I am talking about. What I am talking about is you, yes, you! The only world we have power over is our own entity. Now may be the time for you to take care of your health instead of waiting for someone else to pay for your healthcare. Now is time to take care of your financial life instead of depending on a welfare state. It is time to center yourself, anyway you can, so that you are powerful and intact. Who are you spiritually, emotionally, and financially? Learn to tell the truth about these things and leave the criticism of others, to those who have nothing better to do than follow the path to self destruction. What is going on right now in the world is as if someone has taken the earth in their two hands, shaken it thoroughly and screamed “Wake Up! Wake Up!” It is up to you to remain grounded by adhering to your own personal value system. The truth of yourself will out.PrintShare it! — Rate it: up down flag this hub

Thanks Eddie for getting the concept. Joanne Victoria
Appeciate the hub Joanne, You are right on. It's not easy to tell ourselves the truth. Our ego fights back. Napoleon Hill said self deception is the biggest thing that hold us back from soaring the great winds of life.

Thanks Judy. the closer we get to telling ourselves the truth about ! ourselves, we will be better for it.Let's all soar the great winds of life-Joanne
i dont agree tht criticism is not truth, sometimes criticism is motivated by love. sometimes we criticise others to drag them down, but sometimes we criticise in order to drag someone up!
The definition I am talking about re criticism is " An opinion or judgement of what is wrong or bad about something or someone." If it takes love to tell someone they are bad or wrong, that is not my point of view.
Good hub and I understand what you are saying.
Lady G..thanks for understanding. It's all about values and beliefs.
and self responsibility.
Of course. I have a presentation called "Accountability Vs Blame', needs a catchier title, however, people still dont't get it.
Powerfully and directly delivered, great hub.

Interesting twist or turn back to me. I like that. We need to judge ourselves and tell ourselves the truth then we can move forward. Thank you. ~ eddie
