To Trust, To not to Trust
60Why should we trust?
I always asked myself this question of why should we trust anyone? How do we teach someone to trust someone that has trust issues?
My childhood was all about love, care and faith. I was taught the power of truth and trust but as I grew up I had tasted the bitter side of the world, which enabled me to have doubts about trust and what I was taught through these many years. Were there teachings wrong? What if everything they had taught me was meaningless?
Trust upon which communities are based on and helps people see how much they need each other, and assist them in building the kind of trusting relationships that would allow them to share God's life together.
But the fact is that the trust has to be broken one day and everyone is not perfect. Ofcourse everyone makes mistakes but they learn from it and move on. Think for a moment, Isn't a community based on trust? Isn't it keeping us all together as one nation?
But then again there's two sides of trust, ofcourse negative and positive. The positive and the important side of trust is that it allows us to form relationships with others and depend on others but then how do you know that the person that you are trusting and letting your guards down to is the person you should be trusting? For love, for advice, for help with our plumbing, or what have you- especially when we know that no outside force compels them to give us such things.
And since trust also comes with many risks, it can also be dangerous. What we risk while trusting someone is the loss of the things that we entrust to others, including "ourself-respect", perhaps which can be shattered by the betrayel of our trust.
When is trust warranted? Which is probably the most philosophical and complex question but at the same time its philosophically interesting and socially important. Bottom line is trust allows people to thrive healthy cooperation with others and to be morally "mature" human beings.
So my advice to anyone who reads this is that please be careful and please don't take advantage of the people who have nothing but trust for you.
Peace!!!!

Nice hub.
When is trust warranted? Usually our gutfeeling will let us know.
Good one!
Since you have trust upon people so you have posted this hub. Your analysis is great!
A new born baby has trust upon everybody. And when he/she grows, started to doubt. So when we encounter a different situation, that has already copied in our brain as a worse or doubtful experience because of our previous experience or not too remote with that sort of experience we lose our trust on that thing.
When doubt occurs, trust begans to fall....
To erase doubt one needs to treat the same doubtful situation from a positive point of view, which is difficult.
Take Care!
Fantastic. I love Why we should trust. It is imperative we do trust. Keep up the great work. Much success.
Thank you Tanvir and RobertKelleher for your comments. It's funny how people are getting more and more suspicious and it's nothing to be proud of because that means we as human cannot trust another human, especially in todays world when everything is very modern, new, very different then before, our trust has faded away more then how it use to before. What I mean to say is that today, even though every human is keeping up with the pace of this modernized civilization, people have forgotten the true meaning of Uniting, uniting as a nation and it can never be possible if we don't have trust for each other. I know a mother trusts her children and children trust their mother, each family member trusts each family member and that's exactly why they are staying united as a family, but how can we trust a stranger who we don't know, who's might be going to try to rob, rape or even kill you? But then again, how can we completely trust a stranger who we're voting for to be the next president of our country? Till there's crimes around, trust will be an issue no matter what country you live in, no matter what culture you have, no matter what religion you are from, trust is going to be an issue all the time because this is the real world and it's not perfect. We just have to learn from the mistakes and forget and forgive! Peace!
great hub
its because we trust our respectable enemy that we sleep peacefully
