Today's Cool Things

I don't know about you but I enjoy crafts & doing new things around my home.Today's cool thing I am talking about is house plants. I love plants & can't help but share them with all my friends. I just can't help but share the wealth; God has the best color pa latte & is the best artist as far as I am concerned. To make a room seem more at home for me I always have to add a plant or two or three lol. Today I will share with you some Ivy I transplanted & some simple affordable ideas on plantings.

Ivy first of all is fantastic, with the exception of poison Ivy of course lol. Ivy grows & grows & keeps on growing. Ivy is a plant that if you do have to buy a start you will not be disappointed nor will you be wasting your time or money. Ivy is very hardy & will grow in doors or out can be used for any number of things.

I wanted some thing different for my living room some thing I knew would grow in any container & be easy to care for my first choice of course would be Ivy.

1. Choose a container to plant in & put drain holes in the bottom.

2. Cover the bottom of your container with potting soil, place plant in & fill the rest of the way pack down gently.

3. Choose a decorative container or object to set your plant in.

4. Choose a location for your new plant.

5. Enjoy your new plant, don't forget to water it.

I have also transplanted some Pothos I had; this plant is very easy to care for as well. I place my plants where ever I want them because I take my plants out on my porch for some good old fashioned indirect sun light on nice days pretty often. You can mix your plants too I think it makes a great gift too. I like to put my plants in baskets, mugs, different containers or even an old bucket I found at yard sale.

There are many different colors & sizes of Ivy. Plant types include miniatures, small plants with leaves under 1 inch long; oddities, which have unusual traits such as distorted or curly stems or leaves, or bushy upright growth; and there are many different colors.
