Children with physical challenges grow up, their differences will become obvious. This is especially so at the toddler's stage. Everything around them are new and interesting. Thus, they will develop the desire to explore the surroundings.

Interestingly, you will find that your child is not intimidated by any physical challenge. Unlike adults. They establish positive attitude to overcome it. But sometimes, the toddlers will grow frustrated about it. Thus, it is very important to shower your child with love support so that they can learn and grow.

Normally, at this toddler stage, the child has no idea that he is different from other children. What they do is based on their nature instincts. You can see the behavior through their playing, talking and how they move their bodies.

You will find in most toddlers whose physical challenge involves missing limbs, they can learn to overcome them quite easily. Parents must be there to support and guide them to adapt to it. For instance, parents can help their child who born with only one leg to crawl with a rolling board. Currently, there are many developmental aids readily available on the internet for toddlers.

Without a doubt, toddlers with physical challenges need more help and support. Parents have to be more patient and generously in giving their support to help the toddlers in the learning. If a toddler could not differentiate the colors, the parents have to teach the child how to use their other senses in their process of learning.

These children tend to test their parents' patience during their process of learning. Sometimes, it can prove to be very frustrating for the parents.

However, parents have to keep in mind that their toddler with physical challenge is different from other children. Hence, they could not expect to learn as fast as other normal children. On the hand, these children are willing to learn, just that they take much longer time to master. Parents should try various methods to find the right approach for their toddler.

You don't have to do this alone. If possible, you should find a support group around the area you stay. Support groups can help you as a parent to cope with your toddler. You are not alone. At the start, it is very difficult for you to sit and discuss with others about your child. Alternatively, you may want to explore the option of finding online support groups. At least, you can talk openly to other parents who are in the same situation as you without seeing them or crying in front of them.

On the whole, as a parent, you must shower love and attention to your children. As for a toddler with physical challenges, parents must even provide more love, carem support, and understanding towards them. They are like any toddlers who are constantly curious about the things around them. It is through their parents, they learn to survive in this world. So, it is our duty as their father and mother to be able to provide a safe learning environment to them, making use of all the resources around us.
