When Lara comes in, she will encounter a pit.  Go ahead and use the edge and Lara will slide in with no damage.  There is a ledge on the opposite wall that leads to another ledge, which eventually goes to a ledge on the left to shimmy jump to.  She can then backwards jump to another ledge, jump up to another one, then one more backwards jump to a ledge to pull herself up. 

Lara then goes up a lot of stairs before she sees her next opponent, the kraken.  Beating him is not about shooting or trick moves, but using your brain.  Yeah, there is a suspicious absence of Bosses in this game, for some odd reason. Weird to see someone put a spiky thing right above the giant squid.  If only there was a way to drop it on its head…hmm….

Go back to the hallway that faces the kraken, but follow the hallway to the left.  You will reach a room with even more gears.  Jump up on top of ledge, then another.  You will come to a pole, so flip to the next ledge, which will also require you to use a pole to get across. 

When you are in this next area, go to the wall and to the gears.  It is pretty easy to move them around, and they will be spinning properly.  Now, you will see a “B” prompt, and this will allow you to move one of the gears closer to the apparatus.  Pull the lever, and the squid will be even more mad than before. 

Now, turn around and go in the other direction, back to where the giant squid is.  Ignore its tentacle and head to the wall on the right. 

There is an obvious ledge on the bottom.  Jump up to it, and up one more ledge.  Shimmy left, and jump up again.  Use a diagonal northeastern motion on the joystick to get to the next ledge, and sideways jump to the next one.  Shimmy right and diagonal move to the next ledge, then sideways jump left for the next ledge.  Go up one more and then backwards jump to a balance beam.  Stand up on the beam, and turn so you are hanging on it from the other side.  Shimmy to the left and when you get to the end, you can jump up and grab a pole.  Swing from the pole to the ledge, and you will see a door to the right.
