"Look before you leep" would be the right phrase for cola drinker ,so think twice before you take a sip this summer. Experts say that excessive cola consumption may lead to mild weakness to profound muscle paralysis. The cola drinks can cause blood potassium to drop extremely low, reports "International Journal of Clinical Practice".

An Australian farmer who drank 4--10 litres of cola a day needed emergency care for lung paralysis. He was advised to curtail his cola intake . Another exampleI is of a pregnant woman who regularly drank up to three litres a day for six years and complained sickness It was noticed she had an irregular hear tbeat, most likely it was caused by her low blood potassium levels.she was asked to stop drinking cola to that extent, she made an uneventful recovery.Cinical finding say that many people's risk problems to health are due to their excessive intake of colas .they do not follow the warnings given to them that these products are harmless when consumed in moderation..The serum potassium levels of heavy cola drinkers are dropping,to dangerous low levels.so beware of the warnings

It is estimated that hypokalaemia can be caused by excessive consumption of three most common ingredients in cola drinks - glucose, fructose and caffeine. Though individualy each of these ingredients has not been determined and may vary in different patients.
amongst all the ingredients caffeine intoxication was thought to play the most important role.
So keep yourself on high alert and before it gets too late .These cola drinks harm our dental health too ,so the best way is to see that your children are kept apar from these luring drinks .and be a role model for children by reducing the intake your self .

Nutrition labelling is included on the bottles and cans so people should be careful while choosing  the products they are  going todrinking.
