One of the best Steven Seagal movies with a lot of action and his signature aikido moves on bad guys is a treat to watch. The plot is as usual - His partner cop  was killed in the line of duty by a drug dealer. John (played by Seagal) decides to retire, but after reuniting with his sister Melissa and Melissa's daughter Tracy, John gets into a shootout against a Jamaican drug kingpin known as Screwface. Of course the bad guy screwface retaliates by trying to kill his sister and her daughter. Our hero Steven Seagal go to hunt Screwface down and he succeeds in the end. The movie is furiously paced and visually striking and gives ample opportunities for Steven Seagal to fight against a deadly Jamaican drug dealer.

2. Above the Law

Another one of top 10 action movies of Steven Seagal where he plays a Chicago cop along with Pam Grier and Sharon Stone. Steven Seagal's line "You think you're above the law. But you're not" when he delivers this dialogue in his own signature style, the movie gets more interesting. "Above the law" is Steven Seagal's first Hollywood movie - a low-budget, urban cop drama where he played a CIA who exposes the corruption of Chicago government officials.

3. Undersiege I

Steven Seagal's highest grossing movie that put him in the same category as Arnold and Stallone is considered as the best Steven Seagal movie by  many. And they are right - it is indeed an awesome movie with a great plot tight screenplay and a great co-star the villain played by Tommy Lee Jones.  Plot: A ship is taken over by a former high level military hitman who blackmails the government and protect himself from being taken out. Steven Seagal plays as the ship's cook who happens to be a former green beret and will thwart the villain's plans single handedly.

4. Hard to Kill

Another great Steven Seagal movie with lots of fights and action sequences coupled with an intriguing plot is "Hard to Kill". Steven seagal plays the role of a detective who awakes from an extended coma and he goes ahead to seek revenge on the corrupt politician who murdered his family. What would stop martial arts black belt holder Steven Seagal from kicking some ass? Steve sets out to satisfy his hearty appetite for revenge, and the bone-crunching action kicks, adrenaline pumping chases, hand-to-hand combat, etc.

5. On Deadly Ground

An Alaskan oil worker is left to die in the Arctic wilderness after threatening to go public about unsafe drilling practices. Ultimately, he plots his revenge after being rescued by a tribe of Eskimos. Michael Caine should be noted here for his absolutely amazing performance as the villain. One of the best Steven Seagal action movies that you watch multiple times without getting bored. This "On Deadly Ground" movie is directed by Steven Seagal and it stars Michael Caine and Joan Chen. Steven plays Forrest Taft,  an environmental agent who works for the Aegis Oil Company in Alaska. Michael Jennings, CEO of the oil company, is the kind of person who doesn't care whether or not oil spills into the ocean or not, just as long as the company is making profits. When Jennings finds out that Taft's best friend Hugh Palmer has a computer disk, he sends out boys to murder. Steven Seagal begins a trek through the Alaskan wilderness, heading straight for AEGIS-1 and destroy it.

I am the world's biggest dizziest fan. Got pretty much all his movies on DVD and Video. Some were daft and he made some junk, but he is so gorgrous, and good looking, he takes care of himself. And he always protects the lady he loves! "Fire Down Below" was a fave of mine! Great Hub! : )
