My Top 10 Cartoons of the 80’s
80My all time favorite cartoon would be Looney Tunes (Bugs Bunny, Coyote and Road Runner, Tweety, Sylvester, Pepe Le Pew, Speedy Gonzales, Marvin the Martian, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig etc.) and Disney Cartoons (Mickey & Minnie Mouse, Donald & Daisy Duck, Winnie the Pooh, Disney Princesses etc…etc...). I guess that would be everybody’s all time favorite too.
In the 80’s there were several great cartoons to choose from. I’ve wanted to put them all together here but that would make this too long. Some of my other favorites which are not in the list would be The Simpsons, Alvin and the Chipmunks, The Real Ghostbusters, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Garfield, Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light, Denver the last Dinosaur, Inspector Gadget. Some of the other which I thought was 80’s cartoon were Voltes V but then I’ve learned during my research that it was shown here in the Philippines in 1978, Popeye whom I never thought was that old was actually in the comic strip in 1929 and was in the theatrical cartoon in 1933 huh, and The Flinstones and its counterpart The Jetsons which was in American TV sitcom in the 60’s.
Now here is my top10 list, by the way it is not in any order. Some of this is 20 or more than 20 years ago so let’s see if you remember this or even enjoyed these cartoons the way that I do.
