Wow, are you fast! You put together a lot of pertinent information, in a very short time! I knew about a lot of this, but there is still much here that is new to me. Given the current unemployment rate, especially here in Michigan, I predict this hub will generate a LOT of traffic. Thanks for this great resource, Patty!
Hi guys! -- I know so many people in Michigan now, it is like a second home. I used to complete simliar reviews in Ohio when I worked under the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) and I will make more Hubs for the great metro areas of Michigan - I've only done about half.
I think it's hard to find the information and should be more like the Dayton Public Library main building (at least last time I went) - walk in and you meet a 12 ft long bulletin board with all this info on it, plus social services, medical info, youth runaway help, abuse and homeless shelters, govt offices and contacts - everything you need when you need help.
pg - I hope it helps and I've been looking at the Portage area, too. Will have it up this weekend.
BT - I heard unemployment is very high in many parts fo the state. But there are jobs, so I ask myself what's up with not matching people? At least some of it can be brought together.
