Top 10 Most Beautiful Women In The World
80
Nichelle Nichols
Beautiful as a young songstress in France, later known in America as an actress.
She portrayed the communications officer Uhura of Star Trek The Original Series.
Nicelle is also an author of the Saturn's Child Sci-Fi series and is beautiful in her senior years as well.
I've met her at conventions, where she has helped recruit minories and women for NASA.
She is fantastic.
Natalie Portman
A favorite of mine since her work in Star Wars as Queen Amidala..
Halle Barry
Lovely as herself, as Catwoman, and even lovelier in her pregnancy photos seen often now in the news.
She will surely remain a star for long to come.
Nichelle Nichols Vocals - Hot!
Lena Horne
Ms. Lena Horne is another great songstress lovely in youth and in later years.
From her role in Cabin in the Sky to several future more substantial roles in classic films of the Golden Age of TV and Movies to her classic rendition of the number Stormy Weather, she is a beauty for the ages.
Phylicia Rashad
Beautiful her whole life, I think.
Excellent in two TV series with Bill Cosby and a star on Broadway.
Mariska Hargitay
Exotic looking even in the TV series Law and Order.
She is the daughter of actress Jane Mansfield and body builder Mickey Hargitay.
Lena - Stormy Weather & If You Believe
Jane Mansfield
Beautiful and blond, she made many B-level movies, but had studied physics at Southern Methodist University.
She played the violin beautifully as well and had more potential than she was able to access, dying in an automobile crash at the age of 34.
Uma Pemmaraju
Strikingly beautiful on Fox News. I'd like to see her on other networks as well.
Shakira
In my opinion, more beautiful than Britney Spears or Christina Aguilara.
And she can dance.Hips don't lie (lol).
Claudette Colbert
Ms. Colbert was a famous film star of the 1930s and 40s.
She did two of the many nude-except-for-a-mink-coat photo layouts done by famous women for BlackGlamma Mink her 20s and again in her 70s and you could not tell the difference.
It was harder to retouch photos in the antique 1970s magazines than it is today, so she looked pretty good in her 70s.
BlackGlamma no longer does such ads, as far as I know. The series was done during an era when wearing fur signalled high social status and wealth.
Film Themes: Octobriana & The Finger of Lenin
Honorary Mention: Octobriana.
Comics heroine of the 1914 October Revolution.
Her look has changed for the 21st century, but I think the image of her in an antique 1960's edition I have seen is dazzling!
The image to the right is a more modern issue.

Cool. Thanks for the comment!
Sorry Patty, but i am afraid i must disagree with you lol, my wife and daughter beat any of those ladies hands down, but I am slightly biased.....jimmy
I have no quarrel with your picks, but here are some more beautiful women http://hubpages.com/hub/Beautiful_Women So many women, so little time!
Here are a few more--http://www.metacafe.com/watch/674376/beautiful_wom
hey I want to be one of the top 10
What about Elizabeth Taylor in the 1950s?
Wow.. what an interesting list! I agree with Nichelle Nichols - I saw her on Heroes the other day and was stunned by how beautiful she still is. No wonder Capt Kirk wanted her. ;)
jimmy - that's the best comment you could have ever made!
Ralph - just my personal opinion, of course! - your hub is great.
lovemeanddie1988 - Let's do a Top 10 Most Beautiful Hubbers!!!
Gredmondson - I just don't care for that style of beauty I guess. -- I'm weird.
Isabella - Nichelle was on HEROES??? I must watch more often!
Thank you manoharv2001 - it was fun!!
I'd also add Scarlett Johansson, Sandra Bullock, and Rene Zellwigger.
Who could possibly object? Not me!
Nice hub Patty, and a great list. Very Diverse, and I couldn't argue with a single one! As for Hoodala's comments about Natalie, I can see how people can find her "skeletal", but to me she has a very Audrey Hepburn quality about her.... and I wouldn't call her skeletal or either one "icky" ;-)
That's it - Audrey Hepburn. You're right! Thanks for the comment. I also enjoyed her composure as Queen Amidala in her first Star Wars episode - at 18 or 19 years old, that took a lot of concentration, I think.
I wouldn't call Natalie Portman skeletal, either. "Elfin" might be the right word for her. In "Closer" she played a lap dancer quite convincingly, as I recall. And she has all the equipment for it. And she's a Harvard graduate, I believe. Beauty and brains in a single package.
Ralph - Elfin is a good word too.
I remember her on SNL where she was hilarious in a number of sketches - the ones with the exotic parents where she sat with a huge magnifiying glass in front of her face, hyper at the protein drink bar, etc. Cute and talented.
Yes, shes the grandmother of 2 hero kids!
Like lovemeanddie I want to be on the list!!!! lol
From your list Shakira comes as my favorite "hips don't lie" not only a beautiful curvy woman but also a great dancer. Natalie Portman comes as my least favorite, I think there is too much bone on show!
Thank you for your insightful cooments, Isabella and Princessa!
I didn't know Mariska is Jane Mansfields daughter no wonder she's so gorgeous...Hubpages all the way you learn lots everyday
Fun HUB
regards Zsuzsy
It is fun. I first saw Mariska as a amall animated woman on a kid's Saturday morning game show sort of thing years ago. When Law and Order arrived, I recognized her voice and her hair. Much fun.
Great list - I agree about Audrey Hepburn though - she would always be on my top ten list.
Nice hub, Patty. Lena Horne, Jayne Mansfield and Claudette Colbert are actresses I''ve enjoyed in movies for years. I don't know much (or anything) about the others. Other names that come to mind are Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable and Rhonda Fleming. Personally, I always liked Maureen O'Hara.
I agree with Rhonda Flreming and Maureen O'Hara as well. I ned to watch more Audrey Hepburn movies and take abetter look.
Being Canadian I have to add
Shania and Pamala Anderson
Thanks for the additions. :)
Patty, those are some fabulous ladies, no doubt about it!
I'm, glad you like them too, G!
great list, glad you didn't just look at those currently in the spotlight!
Thank you! Soem of these ladies on my list have a made a lasting impression on me, even the ones before my time!
Halle Berry and Sandra Bullock head my list! Thanks Patty for this eye candy and info!
Thanks for stopping by Kenny. :)
There are those who have their 15 minutes of fame but few who stand the test of time and cross a number of generations and media!! Well done;-)
O thank you dataminer - that's exactly what I was thinking when I composed this one. :)
there is not even a single indian woman?
It's just my opinion by my individual experience. I don't have the opportunity to see any Indian women (except for Hub Pages!). Thanks for the comment.
Not bad, not bad...I know a girl who works in a grocery shop who is so beautiful and would give these girls a run for there money...!!
OH! - get her picture and we'll put her on here, compu-smart.
Funny you mentioned Nichelle Nichols. Whenever an old Star Trek episoede comes on, I always think "man, Uhura was really hot!". Great picks.
Hey, that's great. Thanks for sharing that with us. I should look half so good when I reach that age. Oy! She is still beautiful.
Wow, narrow it down to just 10? So difficult. My son would agree with Natalie Portman and Halle Berry. My daughter would agree with Chakira as a choice. Diverse list, to be sure. It was fun looking over it.
it WAS fun, but purely my own personal opinion. I hope to meet Nichelle Nichols once more. She is so classy!
I can never forget Uhura. She was my favourite in Star trek series.
The new Star Trek film at the end of 2008 will be interesting, in that younger actors will portray Uhura and the rest at the Academy. I don't know if they can compare with the originals.
Thanks for the comment!
Where the hell is Scarlett Johansson?
I think she is the number 1 most beautiful woman in the world by far.
And i come in at a close second, haha i'm kidding. x
Well lets start a second list and you can be at the top, Immie, and Scarlett can be next. :)

Uhura has great legs. Halle Berry is an alltime favorite of mine. Natalie Portman is skeletal and icky. Great list I agree with all except Natalie.
