Indeed! The response of businesses to the "tingi" buying culture of Filipinos has created a business model that works in the Philippines. Aside from manufacturing companies selling almost everything in sachets, this is also the reason why companies who have taken the sari-sari store business model to the next level have been so successful: 7-11, Ministop, etc.
Respect for elders. The word "po" has no equivalent in any
other language. Sa Amerika you've got to get used to being addressed with your first name by a 1 year old even if you are 99 years old.Yes,one good habit w/c becomes second nature to Pinoys is addressing elders properly and courteously.

Great hub, pinoyconnection! You affirm our good side!
What about the "tingi" mode of selling to cater to the low income citizen, as in: tinging asukal, sabon, shampoo, tootpaste...kulang na lang na ilagay sa sachet ang mineral water hehehe....
I like this hub about our positive side and I'm sure you'll come up with the next 20 positive things about us as a people in your next hub. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
