Top 10 Places to Find Cheap and Free Downloadable Books Online
68Finding deals for bargain eBooks on the internet can be difficult. The only choice seems to be paying full price at Amazon or finding public domain classics for free. Within those two options and all points in between, I've tried to make a Hub that will help you uncover a few secrets for discovering cheap and free downloadable books online.
Kindle Store is a good place to start if you're looking for downloadable eBooks. Most prices are $9.99, but over 7000 freebies and deals are to be had in the Big Deals section.
#2 Manybooks.net
Manybooks.net offers 23k+ ebooks in over 23 different formats (including .azw files for the Amazon Kindle). All the books here are in the public domain and downloadable for FREE. The entire Project Gutenberg library is available, so there's no need to frequent that site separately.

#4 Books on The Knob
Books on The Knob is the best blog for finding cheap and free downloadable books. The books aren't bestsellers, but nothing in the bargain bin ever is. What you'll find here are some of the only true deals to be found for eBooks. Frequent updates make this site a must bookmark.
#5 Scribd
Scribd was dubbed the "YouTube for documents" when it launched. Many eBooks can be found on the site as well as other user generated documents.
#6 eBooks.com
eBooks.com is a useful site for eBook price comparisons. Sometimes you'll find a deal that saves you a few dollars from what's being offered at the Kindle Store. Other times a book will be $15.00 more expensive here.
#7 Google Book Search
Google Book Search struck a deal with publishers awhile back that allows them to preview currently copyrighted books. You'll usually be able to see a number of pages (frequently more than what is available at Amazon.com). Periodicals and out of copyright books are also available in their entirety.
#8 PDF Search Engine
PDF Search Engine can scour the internet for PDFs quickly. Note that the Amazon Kindle DX supports PDF files without any conversion.
#9 eBook Searchr
eBook Searchr leverages the power of the Google Search Engine and more than 300 eBook websites. There are many similar sites, but eBook Searchr contains less advertisements and SPAM than the rest.
#10 Steal it
Steal it (via Bittorrent). Of course we don't suggest you do this. Being a pirate is bad. Everybody loses. Etc. But no Top 10 list for accumulating media on the internet is complete without acknowledging that some people will always steal content. Seriously though, go buy it. Most authors are not Stephen King and they could use the money.
